They were in the game for first 10 minutes of the first half and first 5 minutes of the second half. That was it. They were never on top and building pressure. Their best chance was from a poor Rodon header 2nd half.
Sam @smisles98 · Follow Welcome to Leeds United Joshua Guilavogui who will sign for the club on a free agent next week (and attended the game today at Elland Road). Tweet has a picture of him at the game on Friday Backup I know but a backward step, 34 years of age, low appearances each season suggest he gets knocks, we might as well have kept Cooper or see what Klich is up to. I’d rather see James or Solomon on the pitch and drop Aaronson back if required than this guy
I dont disagree but that’s with the perspective of hindsight, actually watching the game, when the first half started I was concerned for the first 15 minutes
Was pictured with a fan on Friday night. Knocking on a bit now but is big, strong. Capped by France a few years ago. He plays at centre back or defensive midfield. He offers a bit of cover for both positions. Debayo is the next centre half if Rodon or Struijk get injured or suspended and Crew is the next in line for Tanaka or Rothwell get injured or a knock. If he signs, he will provide cover until Wober, Ampadu and Gruev return.
They didn’t have one shot on target the whole game. They were “in the game” first half because we thought they were as we know how “Leedsy” we can be. Analysis of the match suggests we bossed them completely.
Yes we did boss them completely but they enjoyed an element of possession in our half during those times. They didn't get a shot on goal but they had a few shots blocked and a couple of decent opportunities that were snuffed out by good recoveries by our defenders. I didn't come away from the game thinking they were **** and in a false position. I actually thought they were better than Burnley were at Elland Road.
