Nor me, the fact that 17 of the 22 FIFA that voted for Qatar to host the World Cup have been indicted, suspended, arrested or jailed sums up the corruption behind this tournament. It’s also going to be **** for travelling fans. Can’t wait for the proper football to be back. I will lose complete interest if England go out.

I should have said allegedly. Saw a documentary about how Quatar got the championship. It would take too much time to explain. But Sarkozy, Macron and Platini were heavily involved. Plantini was told by Macron to vote for Quatar. Many things were decided in secret meetings where these were involved in different meetings. And it seems to involve the sale of French warplanes to Qatar.
The whole process about which country with the by far worst application, won with no facilities etc. It is a corrupt dirty world with Fifa and Uefa in the driver's seat.

I’m the same, it’s the mid season break that’s the problem, too many questions unanswered at club level, we can’t switch off as we want to know if we’ll be in the PL next season. Three games ago it seemed a certainty that we’d be looking for a new coach, it just feels wrong pausing it now, throw in the blatantly obvious fact of how the biggest competition in world sport was fixed, zero excitement here.
