He did the same with Fulham. Said he wanted to leave for first team football. Came here, spent a year with the u23s, broke in to the first team squad, made appearances and now his value has gone up wants a move with a signing on fee etc. We are in a battle right now. Everyone at the club needs to pull together yet he has the desire to leave. That's not the kind of person who I would want sat in the changing rooms next to me in a relegation threatened season. For that reason alone he should be sold at a profit ASAP.
Don’t disagree… I’m with bielsa on this… But on the flip side I do understand footballers wanting to play and thinking of their career.
He's decent to be fair. He's a young lad, a bit lightweight but covers some serious mileage and can spray the ball long very accurately. A workhorse, box to box type. I'm not sure he is PL level yet. Doesn't score alot either. He looks decent at that level the bits I've seen of him. Surprised we are looking at him though. He's one of Blackburns best players and they are flying this season.
John Swift, Lewis O’Brian and now Buckley….. all Championship players so we are either in Aldi all the time or we trust Orta has found the M&S fairy
It certainly looks like we are looking at players with a profitable sell on value. John Swift should be cheap as he is running out of contract. That's easy profit if it doesn't work out. Buckley and O'Brien are tied up to long contracts so the transfer fee could be huge. I'd be surprised if we went for either of those two. If we are looking at 15-20 million pound transfers there are better players in Europe with no "English tax". I've got a feeling Radz might gamble with the players we've got until the summer.
What I don’t like but Bielsa will love… He’s played RB DM AM RW LW and up front he’s naturally been described as a central midfielder. Might be a younger version of Dallas
If Buckley is the main target it’s genius. Put rumours around about loads of in-demand midfielders. Then sneakily, under the radar, buy someone no one else wants. and he's first choice keeper when they play 5 a-side
