Richard, see my post on MOT earlier regarding diversity, I'm sure you agree that it's what makes the world go round. ALAW.
No issue with diversity, I just don’t follow or agree that posters should only post on one forum. If for example you were anti Rads and another member was pro Rads there would remain a healthy debate and diversity no matter what forum you posted on.
If we all say the same things then lets post on one forum, then we can get rid of some of the unelected forum bureaucrats, maybe it is the way to go? FREXIT !! The point is if not606 simply becomes MOTMkII then there really isn't much point in having the two is there? MOT has its own style and not606 has too. To go for a vanilla approach would detract from both. MOT posters went to that forum and developed it as they wanted and so did those who came to not606 if they are essentially going to be the same then ???? It's more an issue of style rather than content. It's easy to say "player x didn't have a good game" or you can say "X was totally cr$p and should be sent back to .... " It's likely that both are correct but the style isn't. So agreeing isn't the issue and so it's not one of conflict it's just some people prefer watching the news on the BBC and some on SKY. Essentially the same but different.
So you’re basically saying if you post on another Leeds forum, you shouldn’t post here? (In your opinion)
Mate, I first posted on MOT in 2010, here in 2011. I've posted 22 times there I think. Everyone finds their own. Now feck off. Should say, on reading this back, it's an ironic reference to the diversity in styles to which you allude.
I remember the old BBC 606 days but was a lurker, I didn’t like the layout. I then discovered JA and I still don’t like the layout. I post on MOT and I’m glad people like Leon and Gessa post here as well, I think they’re very valuable additions. I started following the All Leeds Aren’t We FB group but I’ve unfollowed it, way too much drama and negativity, I’m sure some aren’t Leeds. A shame as Andy Briggs does an excellent live match day feed
No, I'm saying each forum has its own style and that should be respected. Anybody can post where they want, absolutely no issue just don't expect forum A to be like forum B.
I don’t see where anyone expected them to be the same, do you post on the other forum and know what it is like over there? I assume you do or have in order to make this statement? When 1964white posted You replied I just found it strange you didn’t agree with a statement that simply said “getting on well together”, nothing more, nothing less than a simple to understand one liner.
No problem with people posting on various forums or fora or whatever. I signed up to mot a while back but hated the format so lost interest. It's a pity we couldn't have a thread open to visitors from there and vice versa where we could interact with views without having to join in as full blown signed up members. I also don't agree with people using different names on different sites. Stick to same name cross the lot, makes it easier for occasional visitors like myself to spot familiar faces. Same goes for Twitter, wj and doc use same handle as here, so easy followes
I made a logical extrapolation from the hypothesis that if there was accord between the posters from each site then each site would be the same.
As someone who is new here and has posted on MOT for a number of years , I like to think I can see the differences between the 2, I rarely duplicate a post, I do sometimes on Ell's daily thread but even then often edit it to add or subtract. I actually shared a few texts the other day with 1964White, saying how we liked both sites and the different styles, the different style of posters. It takes a while to get the feel of a new forum but I found the vast majority of people on here very welcoming, so it was pretty easy to join in the banter. Ell and ristac have been very welcome additions to the MOT forum and have fitted in very nicely. To add to Eric's point, my opinion is, if the majority of posters posted on here and there it could get stale but as only 2 from each site cross over, there are more members of both but not regular posters at all, I doubt that will have much detrimental effect on either site. I know Ell,'s daily threads have enhanced MOT.
I suppose it was the different layout coupled with not knowing any of the posters although now see we may have had a few on there under different names. Will pop in over the weekend and give it another go
MOT as been accused in the past of been very cliquey, I always put it down to there not being many members who posted regulary and the ones that did post regulary were very familiar with one another, first names being used not usernames etc.. which is why I can see where people were coming from. There is a different style there certainly, more varied topics, lot of music threads as well as football and other sports, just nice to hear from someone why they didn't join in. There is no clique by the way and they are a friendly bunch. Will be pretty quiet this weekend with no Leeds game.
Jack Clarke is a product of the academy no doubt Redfearn will be saying he did it getting him ready for the first team
Back to Brum as a resuilt of over spending by the club they are being warned that they could be deducted 12 points which will send them downnext season .If that could happen to Brum what about Aston Villa who spend for fun and are thinking of offering 80k a week to Terry again because p0or Steve says he needs him for his defence I think he needs sacking!
