Wakey we are contracted to keep the loan players to the designated date, unless there is a major injury where the owning club braings the player home to be treated. Hence we have O’Kane and Idaguchi back under the clubs care. Wilks, Coyle and Cibicki were contracted out until January. Wilkes has had his loan extended until the end of the season, Cibicki was allowed to come back early as Leeds were exploring opportunities for him. Cibicki missed the last game for Molde’ and would like to sign him, but its up to Leeds and he may be sold elsewhere. Coyle may be brought back in January but if he has his loan extended you can say his career at Leeds has ended. Harrison and Baker are still at Leeds and need to fight for their places as its starting to look like a waste of money and we cant do anything baout it unless their clubs agreed it would be best to end the loans?
Personally, I don’t think we have cash available for signings. I suspect klich and Roofe would have contract extensions by now if we did, maybe bpf too. We sold viera because we needed to balance books Financing loan deals? More likely. Is it lucky for radz that bielsa says he’s happy with what he has, or is mb toeing the line or trying to keep prices down? Who knows.
There may be a lot of truth in this and I saw a story yesterday about Radz and 49ers seeing the promised land being close. They may decide it prudent to invest up to £15m to enhance the chances of promotion. On paper our whole squads value has risen in a big way under Bielsa. Many of these players were not worth anything last season but massive uplift now. Also think about unheard of U23 players like Shackelton, Clarke, Edmondson, Dalby, Gotts, Halme, Huffer all worth much more now. The same story about the investment also said the new deal now values promotion at £170m
Had to Google it myself, Wilf. FFS, OLOF, first it was tranny clubs, then it was something about your back door getting smashed in and lots of tools, now it's reaming. Whatever next? (Apols if it's too soon, btw ).
I thought when we saw the 49ers guy there for the reading match that it may have been a ‘please bring your cheque book we are close to the promised land’ type visit. The club have to respect the manager’s wishes, but if he says he’d take players better than we have and has previously identified the positions, then if it was me and I had the cash i’d be out finding them... because this chance may not come round again soon. If we do it and don’t go up? Well, if the players are better than we have they’ll be better adjusted for bielsa ball next year... if he’s still here! Though we will have books to balance from their acquisition. Football is a business, business is risk management. We’re top 2. Seize the day.
TC got pelters for this. Wonder if Bielsa will too? https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co...PyLbbaaXus4ibcZyK3UzGSZmzWPL8zl7p4i_da722CDTg I suspect not.
Tc did it because he was weak and non-confrontational. Bielsa does it because he is a genius. Obvious when you think about wj
Re left winger, a position i’d like to see more competition for... I understand Izzy fityet played there for the 23s last week. Maybe they see him as someone who can interchange rather than just a 10... such are the wonders of bielsa ball
Patrick Bamford and Izzy Brown are both available and fit for first team selection! I'd love to see Brown start...
