perfect1.jpg Good Morning. Its Friday 29th November, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road.

Liverpool's Rhian Brewster is a Leeds target - Whelan

Former Leeds striker, now Soccer pundit Noel Whelan spoke of his excitement, having heard first hand that Leeds are eyeing up a loan move for Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster, should Eddie Nketiah get recalled in January.

“The whisper I’m hearing is that Brewster is a Leeds target,” “That would be a really exciting signing.

“Arsenal can recall Nketiah in January and there’s a good chance they will as he’s not started a single league game for us. They will want him at a team where he’s playing regularly.

“If we lose him, we have to bring someone in. I think we would need two more strikers. One or two is not enough for a long Championship season.

“If someone gets injured you’re stuffed. Patrick Bamford doesn’t have a great injury record, so we could need to get two in. Brewster would be ideal, as he’s quick, young and ready to explode.”

Brewster's only two senior appearances for the reds this season have been in the League Cup.

Given the option, would you rather keep Nketiah, or bring Brewster in?

Is Whelan right? Do Leeds need two more strikers (one more should Nketiah stay)?

With Unai Emery's job under severe pressure, would it be more or less likely Nketiah would stay at ER should the Gunners bring a new Manager in?

Deal tied up to bring Vydra to ER - Udinese

Matej Vydra's former club Udinese have claimed via their official club website that Leeds have already tied up a deal for the Czech International.

The 27yo spent five years at the Stadio Friuli, albeit mostly on loan. He joined Watford in 2015 having enjoyed two loan spells with them.

According to the Italian outfit, a deal worth 7m has been agreed between Burnley and the Leeds hierarchy, and Vydra will become a Leeds player on January 2nd.

Mass exodus expected if Leeds fail in promotion bid - Hay

Ex Chief football writer for the YEP Phil Hay has claimed that its the last chance Saloon for Leeds to gain promotion this season, and to expect a mass exodus (including Bielsa) should they fail to go up!

“We’re genuinely down to brass tax now, it’s all about results and promotion.”

“That isn’t to say that it wasn’t last season, but there was some sort of magical element of him coming in and doing what he did with the squad that most of us would have taken to the abattoir six months earlier.

“You get used to it, it becomes familiar, so you start to take it slightly for granted, and I think people are now in the habit of expecting his team to do what they do

“Even in his press conferences, last season there was loads of philosophy and loads of fascination about his past career and his life.

“Nowadays it’s down to team news and not a huge amount else and he knows if it doesn’t happen this season he’ll be gone, and if it doesn’t happen this season there’ll be players at the club who will be gone, very good players.”

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

forget Vydra that ship has sailed and why should an out of form striker who has sat on his arse for a season and half be able to play Bielsaball. Not a chance. If he was good he would be ahead of Wood or Barnes or the other unit they bought back from Southampton. 4th choice for Burnley isnt good enough for a promotion chasing team.

Arsenal have problems but getting Eddie back will only compound that as he will not play for them this season in my opinion. Yes he hasn't started for Leeds but he would have started at least 3 if he hadn't have twisted his ball bag. Future for everyone at Arsenal is uncertain right now, so in the words of Bielsa: "We want Eddie to stay and feel it would be better for his development and he can be a big player for us this season. i feel he should also be here next season too so that we can watch him develop his talent to the benefit of Leeds Utd, Eddie himself and his own club"

As for the Brewster kid, yes we have been on the hunt for a potential new striker to replace Eddie if he returns home, but Brewster a younger Eddie in a crucial part of a tough season? Yes he will be able to play Bielsaball as Klopp uses a variant already.... any striker in my opinion would need to be able to be good enough for selection and score a lot of goals or a waste of time and money.

Whelan is bigging himself up a lot this season and I see regular headlines "Exclusive from ex Leeds player....." he likes to get a headline and a few quid for slagging off players and talking about potential transfers? not seen anything hes ever said be fact?

There have been a couple stories already this week about Brewster, but there are at least 8 clubs interested in him by all accounts. Will Liverpool want to send him if he won't get game time, as with Nketiah. Think Whelan's been reading Vital Football not hearing whispers.

Vydra has the ability but has he got the right attitude, hardly played this season so would take too long to get up to speed, don't see it happening, do we have £7m to spend, unless it's a lone and £7m if we keep him next season..

Hay saying what most of us probably already knew.

Morning all. Phil Hay only saying what any fan being honest with themselves already knows re an end of season clearout . He's more or less stating the obvious. Transfer talk irrelevant but realise some thrive on it <ok>

You leave him alone we are making plans for the new year. Our forces are well trained and ready to swoop when the club fails to strengthen. We know your weaknesses blind loyalty being just one. Come over to us and be enlightened and find the truth.

If we fail he will have to sell the club at a lower price. These people looking to buy are clever and will know this. So the choice to do a clearout will not be in skint rads hands. He is gambling with a thin squad devoid of a real attacking threat. If they invest january then maybe we will get some quality in. I want bowen from hull and a decent striker.

Just taking it game by game Eric. Don't bother with all the prediction nonsense of what 5 or 10m striker were after. Leave that to the dreamers/fantasists. One day they'll get one right and can do their I told you so routine. Until then Im not even looking two games ahead in the fixtures this season, just enjoying each positive result as they come, takes so little to change a run of form in either direction <doh>

Might be different. Doing the xmas shopping tomorrow in the Elland Road store pre game. Given the amount of jerseys were buying, looks like Rads will have at least 300 quid to blow in the January window <party>

I just don't see the point in saying stuff like that now, we are only in November. Isn't there enough pressure on the team already. <wah>

Fair enough Eire, you get my drift though. We seem to be very good at trying to predict what may happen before it does.:(
