Please don not listen to the ramblings of an old man for his information the quayside only serves frozen fish that's how much he knows The Magpie only sells fresh fish as per John Tovey AND RICK STein voted best in UK I am please you think this way then we shall not bump into one another
That made me chuckle - yes the daytime mob with nothing to do all day except sit in an armchair and fester Yes, was on the train out of Euston on way home catching up on the football threads but thought I was in an episode of Portillos great train journeys (for £16), Ramseys kitchen nightmares or Embarrassing Bodies. We are Leeds.
Do you want a small wager? say £1000....before you say yes read this. http://www.quaysidewhitby.co.uk/menus/ Glory is never wrong.
Fecking fish wars now - you certainly get variety on here today There's only one way to settle their dispute.....
And your point is... Although like the more civilised here (and Davy) it is more likely to be a glass of red. Just the one for recreational purposes is allowed.
Don't know my point, can't remember who I was responding to, just I'm looking forward to the warm weather drinking
Not sure what you wish to wager on but their website clearly states they serve frozen at sea Icelandic Cod. I'm sure they're delicious but personally cannot stand Fish & Chips...give me a Vindaloo or a Balti anyday with a few chapatis to mop up the sauce !
No he's not - just heard from him - he's up at A&E - He's been hooked so many times this week the poor fecker has no lips left!! please log in to view this image
I offered to wager on the false and potentially vexatious claim they ONLY serve frozen fish. They serve fresh haddock amongst other things. As I prefer haddock (at least it has some taste) that’s all I would care about. The devil is always in the detail. But the wager wasn’t taken up. I thought it was a bit strange that a place could guarantee fresh cod given that supply can’t be certain so read the magpie website and although cleverly worded they don’t say that all fish is fresh. They buy fresh daily isn’t the same as saying they only sell fresh fish.
