If Bielsa claimed that Blackman was his #1, then for the first time, I'm beginning to doubt him.

I watched Blackman often in the u23s, and I'd place our u23 'keepers above him. He was a danger to himself and often nearly got caught with the ball at his feet. I like a confident 'keeper, but not one with misplaced arrogance. He did nothing to convince me that he was better than BPF. Nothing.

I would, but the only Spanish I'm familiar with is "Ola, dos cervezas, por favor".

Wendies in need of a new manager as he was sacked tonight, new owners needed as present owner ripped into the players. Sounds a bit Cellino to me and many players up for sale

Haha, funny enough the word coño is something your grandma would say here,it's nothing like as strong as in english.
When messi missed a pen at the world cup,one commentator live on air said,
Hijo de 6 mil millones de putas!!
That was a little bit stronger.

<laugh> este what do you reckon about Bielsa's translator? Pretty good isn't he, especially given the fact he's actually French

Doc I haven’t watched the whole press conferences, just seen the reports:

    When Blackman broke his leg:

"It's very sad what has happened to Jamal because he was going to be the starter in this coming game.

“The destiny is unfair for him because he is a great human being and a great goalkeeper.

“He did a huge effort to win his opportunity to start a game, and now it's been taken away from him.

“I say he's the best young English goalkeeper. It's not just me saying that, it is the opinion of specialists on the subject.

When he explained why he’d gone public about bpf:
    https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....farrell-he-would-ve-dropped-him-1-9458060/amp

... says the same thing about Blackman earning his place, being the best young English keeper. But doesn’t say he was the club’s no 1... says it shows how highly he rated bpf that he kept Blackman out and that bpf would play again.

So you’ll have to help me out doc... either it was in the presser but just not included in the write ups... or it was in a third presser... or he didn’t actually say Blackman was the best keeper at the club:biggrin:

That was my opinion of Blackman's ball distribution skills as well WJ.

Or to put it another way he was slow and ponderous whilst seemingly having a brain freeze all at the same time.

However I was disappointed he didn't get his chance...he'd obviously worked hard and at the end of the day the primary job of a goalkeeper is to keep the ball out of the old onion bag.

If that's the case we really need to sign Forestieri...at the risk of banging the same drum again the guy is exactly what we need and I'm sure he'd be well up for a achieving promotion and then having a crack at the PL.

Hi mate the nearest I can find is the following link to an interview Bielsa gave to Phil Hay and is open to interpretation as he states differently to the one you posted but very similar and different order. About how he fought to get fit and lost 12kgs, BPF doing great to keep out Blackman who is the best young keeper England and why I told BPF.?

yeh that was the one I saw/posted fella. No worries, none of it matters... let’s just hope they bring a decent keeper in who at least provides good competition for BPF
