I am now hearing news that Prince Phillip may not be dead after all.... More to follow on this exciting thread as it happens...
I’m more convinced than ever now that Hernandez was a season ticket sales ploy. It was reported a while back that Hull offered him £55k a week to remain, he said no. In 2016 Villa bid £20m for him, the deal broke down because of his excessive demands, some saying he wanted £80k a week. If Orta or Kinnear thought they could talk this guy into accepting less than Hull were willing to offer him then they need sacking now, Vydra is another, I don’t believe we ever intended signing either of them.
Looking like we can't compete with the likes of Ossett United. I know money doesn't guarantee success but it's not just about money it's about intent. So far the only intent we've shown is that we've absolutely no intent of getting out of this division.
Just a quick fact from the last time we saw serious investment in the team. The summer before we reached the Champions League semi-final we had a net spend of £30 million. What would that investment cost in todays football transfer market £200-£300 million or maybe more. Shame we f**ked it up before the big bucks starting rolling in from the TV deals. So many people were to blame it's almost impossible to lay it at the door of one individual. Ridsdale gets most peoples vote but if the money spent had been used to better effect then he might have been seen as a visionary. Personally I wouldn't change a thing as it's all part of the rich tapestry of being a Leeds fan.
Which was better ? Winning 3-2 at Bramall Lane and then waiting for the scousers to beat the scum. Chappy's goal at Bournemouth after nearly a decade outside the top league. Or coming back from 0-1 down with 10 men to get promotion form League 1. All absolutely amazing days and the type of experiences which make it all worth while. Leeds fans your glasses should always be half full and if they are not it says more about you than it does the club.
I have no interest in the club because that belongs to a businessman. All that matters is the first team cos they belong to us and it’s worse than this time last year. You will have to wait for the league table to develop if you are in denial.
You sure about that? This time last year we still had Wood. Also Bridcutt, Diagouraga, Doukara & Green.
TBH Nick, the age I'm at, I'm not that bothered about the sterile moneymaking product that is the Premier. Been there had some craic. I agree about showing intent. We'll just have wait and see what happens.
He's simply reporting with the same accuracy as the doom-mongers on here. Same quality of links & evidence. I'll remember that you class it as lying next time you start ...... which should be seconds from now, most likely.
