Well, here it is. The retained list. And no shocks. Bit surprised about Romario Vieira being shown the door, though. I'd have put him out on loan before giving him the chop. https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co...eal-with-four-players-set-to-depart-1-9170585
Jock you assume that Grot for example would be played as a lone target man. He cant and nobody at the club can, so Grot blasts in from the flanks. The strikers we have are either from the flanks or as a 2 up front. We need to bring in a striker who can play on his own and one who can bring at the qualities of the rest
You're quite right. I am assuming. But even though we didn't have anyone available or capable at times, we still persisted with 4-2-3-1. I really can't see this changing, so we still have the same problem. I've watched Got play in his natural position, and for me, he's a keeper, btw. Wouldn't say I was a fan, but I recognise the talent. My only concern is that he can be a bit languid & lazy, which is common theme with Dutch strikers in my experience. I always remember the great talent that was Pierre van Hooijdonk, who although he scored a shedload of goals, just couldn't be relied on to turn up in a match.

Players released - Romario Vieira, Matthew Keogh, Moise Kroma and Moses Abioye (all academy players). Contracts offered to Tom Pearce, Clarke Odour and Kamil Miazek. Only Pearce out of contract this Summer.
As for young Tom we've tried 5 experienced players at LB & not one of them have performed anywhere near as well as Pearce. We finally replace Taylor & this lad could be off if we don't hand him a carrot
Our club is an absolute joke Yet another waste of a season-ticket watching lazy tw*ts masquerading as footballers
Birmingham City have told David Stockdale he can leave St Andrew's Stockdale is a Leeds fan Surely its a no brainer.....
he played well for us and Swansea gave him a new contract with i suspect a relegation clause in it.now of course he wants to leave and up his wages again.but is he worth a punt due to injuries or will he have to prove his fitness first.so i can't see any club signing a player who's injured can you ??. we have haalm and roberts so perhaps we will be daft enough to do it.
got to agree about the lazy bit but come on twats are useful whereas a lot of ours are not worth a ****.
Stockdale could be good move if Felix is ofski Looking like Blackburn want O'Kane- snatch their hands off. Now then folks it seems that Hernandez would agree a £40kpwk deal to come to Leeds and forget around 8 clubs in higher leagues than us, if you can believe that? Remember the wages are not important when you get him for free However Prijovic still wants to come to Leeds and it seems we have had him watched, but if we get him Radz needs to kick the shyte out of Orta because when Thomas wanted him we could have got him for between £3.5m and £4.2m. He said at the time he wanted Leeds but a couple of French and Italian prem teams were trying for him PAOK were playing them off and getting the price raised. In the end because Leeds didnt move he signed a new 4 year deal and that has now got a £7.6m release clause. He scored 27 goals this season and has scored 70 in the last 3 seasons. He scored the winner for Serbia which took them to the World Cup and he is the main Serb striker so off to Russia shortly. There are stories in Cyprus, Greece and France that Prijavic will be a Leeds player soon. Silly season?
Tom Pearce selected for England for the Toulon Tournament which Viera helped England win last season. Another manager who will be linked to Leeds?
Paul Lambert has been sacked by Stoke too, does that mean Carvalhal is going to Stoke or has Big Mick agreed to go?
