Well I remember watching Porkies and those kind of comedies in the cinema so you know my level of humour, I never quite got the Monty Python stuff, although I did enjoy their films. There was a Peter Sellers film when he played an Indian(that'll be banned soon) seen it in the cinema when they had a support film. I think it was called The Party, anyway I pissed myself laughing. Personally I just go to get a laugh, to dumb down(I know I've not far to go) and generally forget life and the real world for an hour or more. Regardless of age Eire...if it's a good film or sitcom surely any age could watch it.
Morning all. Humour is ageless if something makes you laugh its funny. W.C.Fields made films in the 1920/1930s that still make me laugh. If you don't laugh its your loss.
Already agreed regarding films. And the box sets are still around because old bastards like us are still around
Completely agree with you but people find different things funny. I’m afraid that the names you and shaks are bringing up I’ve never found remotely funny. Doesn’t mean they’re not, just not for me.
I actually quite like him WC.......... I was thinking more like, Love Island, Made in Chelsea and those **** awful reality shows.
When you consider it has lasted nearly 100 years from their first feature, you have to recognise the talent of L&H. The choreography, the thought process and planning built into scenes and then the facial expressions to camera. See Jack Dee and Ricky Gervais in the office for the influence of expression to camera. I'm sat here laughing out loud thinking of the boat painting sketch, the egg trick in the bar and I'll have a soda sketches. Off to youtube now
Sky messing around with our fixtures as usual. Stoke (h) now pushed back from Tue 7th July to Thurs 9th July KO 5pm. This has the knock on effect of Swansea (a) moving to Sunday 12th July KO 3pm and also Barnsley (h) moving to Wed 15th July KO 7-45pm. On all those occasions we will now play after our main promotion rivals possibly adding to the pressure.
Actually I don't understand the need to move them, why not just show them on the day they're scheduled?
Being honest the day the wheels fell of last season was Wigan (h) on Good Friday. Pretty sure it wasn't on Sky. Hopefully we can handle things better this time around.
Fawlty Towers remains the funniest sitcom ever made for me. Life of Brian the best comedy film of all time I’ve seen.
