Genuinely a bit of both. Granted, heart is ruling a bit but head does think something is happening.

In all honesty, I had never heard of Beilsa until Friday (I only tend to follow us these days instead of my previously insatiable appetite for all football) but think that link and the yanks involvement suggests Rad knows Plan A is a no go. As you readily point out, he is in it for money rather than love and I would suggest he could make a tidy profit if he sold now and doesn’t feel inclined to gamble serious money on promotion. My intrigue really lies in why would the yanks be interested in a minority stake in a mid table Championship club? That is not their style.

The 49ers have an investment wing that invests in potentially lucrative sports investments. That's what has bought 10% not the 49ers themselves. Doesn't mean they won't take us over but from their point of view it's a link up which potentially means a return to the premier league brings big return on their investment. From our point of view brings an investment of cash and their knowledge of maximising profits on match day, sponsorship etc. I took it to be not that Radz couldn't afford to invest but that it's a way round FFP rules to inject a useful lump sum into summer transfer budget.

Think it will be an interesting few days with signings of manager and players that will start to demonstrate whether next season might be fun.

Hearing that Bielsa was approached in December and discussions have been going on for a while and its actually Orta who has a relationship with him. If the deal gets done it will be interesting to find out the details and the plan for going forward as its obvious Bielsa wont have the players he needs to play his system without bringing some in. Also as some have suggested some of our players will hopefully improve under a real coach?

Lets hope they can understand him!

In our day dressing rooms were a nightmare because nobody could understand the Geordis, the Jocks especially from Glasgow, the cockneys, the Micks, the scousers ...... much easier now as its usually a bit of Spanish/italian/Yorkie and looking at the video posted of his session I think the players got it <laugh>

You are a smart guy, that shines through in your posts. As usual, a well thought out response but it is only lucrative if we are successful, that’s the bit that makes me think something is brewing, why bother otherwise? Sure, Rads’ media links are good for them but they could buy into that side of his business not LUFC if they weren’t looking for sporting success too.

Mate, I’m an eternal optimist as the wrist slashers from Meath and Harrogate will tell you but I’ve believed in Rads from day one and one pony season on the pitch hasn’t changed my mind. Move over Madrid, Leeds are on the march again and that is formidable :emoticon-0165-muscl

Feck off you. It’s Westmeath. A different county

No mate, just opened my first Corona, jobs done, chicken on the barbecue, Sun is out and in a particularly fine mood. If you can’t dream about future success on a day like this you must be a particularly miserable fecker .........oh wait <whistle>

Ironic that all those ethnic groups you mention, brought the greatest success...<laugh>

Whilst I think you are being way too over optimistic, I do agree that the size of the investment group behind the 49's will not be interested in hanging around the championship pissing around with a million or two profit each season. Big money is in the prem as is exposure for their 'brand' (though I hate the term) and they know it. Just depends how much they want to invest to get there as the opposite side is they definitely want to maximise their profit (so may also try to do it on the cheap).

Not being way too optimistic at all, just enjoying a day in the sun and dreaming of a few FA Cups, couple of Premier League titles under our belts and three or four consecutive Champions League titles. What’s over optimistic about that???
