There's a difference between disliking someone because of their religion or race and not wanting to marry into or go with a different religion or race because of the complications that could arise.

I have no problem with that, it is my decision.

My brother married a girl who was brought up Jewish. Her father in particular who is a **** has a real issue with my bro simply because he is not Jewish. So much so that he makes no contact with his children. That's in the states so sadly the problem does not solely lie in N.I.

My mate married a practising Catholic and they married in a Chapel but were denied the full service because he was a proddy. Canny remember the details of what was denied but it was a pretty ****e state of affairs and really upset his missus.

Well I work at Total on occasion and they are frogs (well known papist ****s) and they always have fish on a friday. Now I love fish but I hate battered fish so the ****in collaboratin onion munching smelly ****s are discriminating against us non battered sea lovers.

No her Da is a **** in general, walked out on the family when her ma was pregnant with her younger sister only to show up 20+ years later.

I don't share the same views, he dislikes my brother and his kids simply because they are not practising Jews.

Her younger sister married a Jewish fella and the same bloke can't do enough for them and their kid.

So to be clear medro. Its not the religion as such. Its just for an easier life? Technically to have the easiest hassle free life for your wife you should chose a white protestant lady who shares similar political views as your family?????? Not due to prejudice. Simply as it may or may not cause problems with OTHER people who may have an issue with it?
