loggerheads to close. sadly a sudden lack of trade since may has caused your executive committee to consider closure of the club. a final decision will be made on october 5th. in the meantime 2 staff, betty swallocks and ethell cuttlebunt are to be retained to run the bars but as of now no food will be cooked on the premises. your executive committee cannot permit the club to run losing £500 a week, and unless the club returns to profit in the next 4 weeks, the committee will have no alternative but to allow barclays bank to forclose the business the chairman of stfc has asked to be kept fully informed of the situation. with immediate effect our beers on tap will be bathams best only and snacks of nuts crisps and reg mays pies will be available. sadly betty swallocks has given notice and her noted pies and casseroles will be available elsewhere. jack swallocks will assist with the bar during opening hours of friday saturday sunday 12 noon-10.30
AJ, we'be received a generous donation from the wigglesworth trust for missed goals with finances to jeep the business afloat for a year.
roland has generously donated 5k, which removes the threat of closure, all we need is more members and more use of the club

i was in bristol yesterday for a hospital appointment. i visited the white lion on the centre, near bottom of small st. bijou pub owned by wickear brewery . i sampled bob, ikb and the best one autumn bitter. i then climbed the 49 steps of christmas steps and at the top aj was really knackered and in need of refreshment. i hoved to at the brewery tap, once the hq of the late lamented smiles brewery, now a butcombe house. i chose their guest ale brewed in pontypridd. it was delicious sadly a combination of old age and christmas steps has caused a memory evaporation but it was red something.! also i did not take in much of what the specialist said. but no news is good news. in my bucholic walk back to the park and ride bus i found a small junk shop and purchased a silver inkwell. well aj rembered that!
