Hello. You might remember me. Was one of the prolific posters on this forum (which is another way of saying I chat a load of ****).

Long story short, I'm back. I can't really explain where I've been for the last nine months, just had a lot of stress going on in my life and coming on here to get involved in arguments wasn't my idea of escaping. I would lurk on here every so often, frequently think about logging in, but never quite found the motivation.

I was reminded of why I ultimately decided to sign back in when I realised we had managed to accumulate a 16-page thread about the Hamilton and Rosberg incident without any insults or personal attacks (there were a few in the official thread but they were mainly consigned to the heat of the moment, primarily coming from people who haven't posted since). Having seen the ravings that pass for comment on other media outlets, it's refreshing to know that there are still good'uns.

Here's to a great rest of the season. <ok>

9 months?..... congratulations??

I have been impressed by that thread also. Well done to manny for making the divert thread and for everybody for expressing their argument in a civilised way <applause>

<laugh>

Well, give it two weeks and I'll be a bleak, fatigued wreck on the floor too...........

What it does show, that proper conversation can be had, though it is still noticebale that one or two posters still feel the need to mud sling because of their engrained views on some of the drivers. At least this time it never boiled over and neither sides took the bait <ok>

Must have been the summer break that mellowed everyone out.

peace

Quick thinking hahaha, we needed an exhaust outlet otherwise the race thread would turn into mosh pit. Putting "debate" into the thread ensured people didn't act Neanderthals, as well as including a poll.

Or we are just getting older, and we are noticing life is too short. Where have 3 years gone?

Good to see ya back! :)

The Hamilton/Rosberg thread was really refreshing. I fully expected it to descend in to the usual hell. I still suspect it might have if Hamilton had been doing the bumping. Hopefully we can be just as civilized when Hamilton takes out Rosberg for 50 points in the last race. :p

I am going to unplug my router for a fortnight if that happens :D

Good to have some more of the 'old guard' back!
