Doing good thanks mate. In the market for a new car but they just cost ridiculous amounts of cash here. A car I could pick up for 800 quid costs 6 of 7 thousand dollars here. You can't find a decent vehicle for less than 5 grand, it does my nut in. Take a look at this site for instance, now tell me you would want to pay that sort of money for a 1990 Corolla http://www.car1234.com/ How about yourself, doing well?
Are they cheaper to run? I understand petrol or should I say gas is much less of an expense in the States?
I had a Volvo S40, totalled when some idiot in a lifted truck hit and run me as I was turning off the street. Got a 2005 big turbo Saab 9-3 convertible right now but the transmission is going out and it's not worth putting four grand (with other needed repairs) into a car that's worth only 7. To be honest I'll probably end up loaning about 17000 and getting a 2011 Kia Optima or something, really nice car. I like the european cars but they are expensive to maintain here. Listen to me, a car that's ONLY worth 7 grand, ridiculous numbers
Engines are much bigger here, a standard VW Jetta has a 2.5. I don't like driving anything less than 170 BHP, my Saab's 210.
Well I agree, looks like a nice set of wheels mate! please log in to view this image Make sure you try and get this one SD... please log in to view this image
The SX level has a 2 litre turbo pushing 274 horses and 269 in torque doing 0-60 in 6.5. Not bad for a family car, I want to test drive one if I'm off on the weekend. The standard engine is a 2 litre 200 hp and also pretty good. I just got back from driving one. Do you have the Optima in England?
I'v not seen too many but they are available here. Looks like the most basic model brand new comes in at £1005 shy of £20k. Again, looks like a nice bit of kit
And now, back to the liking Used to love watching Minder, the Alexei Sayle was great to see again too
