I think they will have a season similar to SFC's in 10-11. They will start off slow with some ugly games, but eventually by the end of the season they will go on some strong winning streaks and finish in the top 6.
Leicester's Confirmed signings of the season so far: Peltier for 750K, Danns for free, and Schmeichel for a rumored 1.25 mil. With Hobbs' transfer looking likely to go through later today for around 800K, we've spent 1.2 million pounds so far. Plus the 250K for Bamba in January, and Sven has so far spent roughly 1.5 million. Now I know were most likely going to get CMS and/or Maynard, and possibly others, but that not a spending spree really is it? Oh, and we're spending a massive 350K on a loan signing as well.
leicester=huddersfield, spend all that money to get no were, especially with old svenny at the helm concentrate on the saints we will sign players soon, but good player and no panic buys NC knows what he`s doing, and so does NA COYR
At championship level, yes it is. You also cannot just look at transfer fees, its the wages as well, which will no doubt be substantial.
1.5 million is a spending spree in the championship? So buy your reckoning, most teams in the championship will be on a spending spree this summer. You lot excluded.
Sorry, but by your own figures you've spent £2.35 million gross. Then you add in the likely fees for Maynard and CMS (estimating at 4 and 3 million respectively), and it shoots up to nearly £10 million gross. Plus the wages for those players, which as I said will be substantial. At Second division level, that is a spending spree, and there will be premiership club who spend far less than that.
I doubt we will get CMS and Myanard, even though we have had a bid accepted for Craig I don't think Bristol will budge over Maynard even with Waghorn thrown in for good measure. I think most teams, if they could, would spend the kind of money we are, and with your owners I'm surprised your not. Good luck to you anyway.
Of course they would, but big spending has a nasty habit of blowing up in your face. Ask Portsmouth fans...
