That run from Mahrez on the right with the footroll reminded me of Suarez, the way he just left the defenders for dead. The goal was just brilliant Vardys goal against us and that Mahrez goal are 1 & 2 for goals of the season.
Oh I dunno - Ali's against Palace was pretty special. Though mine would still be Ake against Liverpool
Unfortunately the "what goes round cones round" factor was almost instant as two games later we lost in the final minute to an offside goal .
For the first time Leicester are now the favourites, that changes the dynamic, as up until this point they've been the plucky underdogs who everyone expected to fade away at some point. Post the win at City, people now see them differently and that will bring it's own pressure. The question is, can they handle it? If they beat Arsenal then they're in a formidable position. Lose and it opens it all right up again.
... don't disagree ... but would just say I felt far more pressure last season ... we HAD to win so many games to stay up ... draw or lose and we were down ... now we're just reaching for the sky and giving it our best knowing that the club has reached a brand new era ... we may not do as well next season for sure ... but our ranks will have been supplimented by some top quality additions over the summer thanks to the incredible events of this one ....saw my first live City game in the 1969/70 season in the old 2nd division having lost the cup final to Man City and been relegated ... never have there been days like these in my lifetime ... the team is an absolute joy to watch and makes me feel like a kid again ... Saturday was the 5th away game this season in which we have scored 3 goals ffs!!!! .. the excitement this team is giving us in the way they attack and score goals is quite phenomenal ...
I can imagine mate, must be like a dream ffs! Talk about a juxtaposed position from last season! Whatever happens from here on in, it's still a magnificent performance this season. You could lose all of your last 13 and still finish in the top 7. I hope you do it, it'd be so refreshing to see a complete outsider romp home. Plenty of twists and turns to go though and I think it'll go down to the wire personally.
That would be a sensible opinion but I'm starting to wonder if they'll actually have it all done way before the end of the season.
I'm banking on Leicester beating Arsenal, for the simple reason that I can see Leicester being caught, especially given their last few games of the season, whereas I cannot see Arsenal being caught, if they get their noses in front at this stage of the season. Plus, Arsenal losing will ease the pressure on us, should we lose to £ity.
I'd settle for that. However, I do think that they are going to have a torrid time against our attack. We are zipping that ball around incredibly fast, at the moment, and making a shed-load of chances. We had something like 26 shots on goal against Watford! What we need to do is convert more of them to see off opponents more conclusively.
I agree - you were frightening on Saturday. Gomes had an absolute stormer and the rest of the defence played well too. I don't know how we kept it to 1-0 to be honest.
I'd hope for at least that. They were a bit of a bogey team for us, but since we kicked their arses at WHL, I'm hoping we now realise that we can beat them.
More predictable than a Mikel sideways pass. I assume as I've replied to you it's a clear indication of how it "boils my piss"
I'm hoping for an Arsenal win and a city/Tottenham draw, but I think the Arsenal/Leicester game could go either way and I think Spurs will beat city.
