God the Hull fans really have it in for AKCJ's, he pissed them off a little of a football forum. Anyone would think he ran over their dog

We all should be having a bit of a laugh and not taking everything too seriously.

    Beckford was £2.5m

I'm not talking about Leicester's situation, but yes, comparatively, Sven spend more. However, I would never claim Sven was our best every manager...

Hull were in a mess. I, and most people I spoke to, thought Hull would do a Bradford after overreaching themselves. But Pearson did a fantastic job at sorting you out, getting rid of the overpaid underachievers and bringing in value for money players like Fryatt and Hobbs. He should be revered as a legend by Hull fans, not classified as a dishonorable traitor.

We massively over spent under Sven and now Nigel is paying the price for it

If that refers to Adam, you're right. It looks like Nigels contribution was to encourage some players to leave and to bring Steve Walsh into the equation. We've a lot to thank our previous management teams like Phil Brown, Parky etc for as they created a hell of a link with Man Utd. Nigel steadied our backline.

Its hard to argue with that. But a shame that NP cannot do anything with those over paid and over rated lesta boys. :(

Well NP did say that he would do his best to get Lesta out of the championship and to be fair he is doing a great job so far. but i thought NP was meaning to go up not down ? :emoticon-0120-doh:

It was only down to NP's bad management that made us look set for League 1, he then made us a mediocre Championship side. I've no idea what we're meant to be thanking him for. The only good thing he did for this club was leaving.

My point is you're wrong, Brown didn't spend a lot and what he achieved was remarkable. After the Allams took over and with Adam Pearson here we would never have done a Bradford. With a rich owner and a street-wise football director. We just wanted consolidation last season and Pearson achieved that. However what he did was not as impressive as Browny in my opinion. Think £1.1million for Fryatt is not great value for money, he overpaid for Mclean and brought in poor players too: Harper, Solano, Adebola etc. A legend? Are you serious? For finishing 11th and running as soon as he saw more money in it for him. Anyway it backfired for him and Barmby is allowing us to play some of the best football I've ever seen us play. Can the same thing be said for you lot under Nige?

Anyway, it's not all doom and gloom is it, I know you're very rich and Nige has bid for a few players... Who have you signed so far?

The way the Hull fans just won't accept that he saved Hull from a nightmare is pathetic.

He's saved Southampton, Us and You. We just need him to save us again <ok> <laugh>

I agree, formidable side Forest too. They held the European Champions to a draw quite recently too.

No but the fact you've changed your tune from half a year ago says it all. At least we're men enough to admit we were wrong during the summer.

In the summer you gave it the biggun as much as we did, saying what a legend Nige is ect.

I'm not arguing over it, because it'll be pointless, but you have to ask yourself 'where would we be without him'.

As I've said, he did save us from a nightmare.

    He resigned.

It's always good to beat a local rival, no matter how poor their league form is. But more important is the way we beat them. the passing was slick and the movement was fantastic. I think we'd have beat anyone in the Championship playing like that.

    You're probably right.

I'm much, much, much more confident about Saints away. The team looked full of confidence in that last half an hour, what a difference 4 days makes! How fickle us football fans are!

I for one never has a bad word to say against Pearson when he was at Hull. Yes, I think with Sven we started to look at Premiership quality managers rather than Championship managers, but we shouldn't have done this until AFTER we got promoted.
