Not that surprising tbh, Quents .... would it have helped if I'd used an excess of commas? <laugh>

So Puel is the new boss. You foxes happy with that. Thought he did a decent job at the Saints.

  4. I think the appointment of Puel is the LCFC board's way of saying that they'll be happy to avoid relegation, this season.

I imagine our resident rabid Foxes will be spitting nails.

    Good appointment.

Someone that won't do anything daft and will help us push towards the higher reaches of the division.

Don't think he got a fair crack of the whip at Southampton. Any side losing the players they lost would have struggled.

Would have prefered Dyche, but at least its someone that knows the league. Hope he isn't afraid to make the changes he feels are needed and happy to give him my full backing.

Ignoring Quentin's silliness (he visited our board last night and humiliated himself with his lack of footballing knowledge) I think Puel is a pretty good appointment. One season with Southampton, finished 8th in the League and reached a cup final, which Saints were very unlucky to lose. Hew won La Ligue as a manager too.

Saints fans didn't particularly like him it seems ... but they did Koeman ... and look what Evedton fans think of him.

Realistically it's about how the manager interacts with the squad at his disposal and his approach with our lot may be very different to the one he had at Saints ... only time will tell. I'm not worried by his appointment because our owners are nothing if ot decisive if things aren't going to plan. <laugh>

I agree he wasn't given a fair chance at Saints. He had to start a season with Mane and Pelle having effectively been replaced by Redmond and Austin. Redmond, for all his potential, is no Sadio Mane - & Austin pretty soon got injured. In came Gabbiadini in January, & hit the ground running, then he got injured.

In the circumstances we did pretty well - disappointing not to progress beyond the group stages in the Europa, but on the other hand we reached a Final at Wembley. At the very least, Claude made us hard to beat, & that was wuthout VvD who also missed half a season after a certain Steptoe **** of a striker stamped on his foot.

For the last 3rd of last season though, we were pretty grim to watch. We were goaless at home for week after week. **** knows how we finished 8th, & in fact we were 15 points off 7th.

Bell is going to be smashing up his bedroom furniture when he hears Leicester have spiralled up to 11th just 8 points behind the yids.

Been a tough weekend for HIAG, what with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester winning and the Spuds losing.
It's no wonder he's gone into hiding again.

Only watched the first half. But yeah, no pace, no flair, just pedestrian.

Pleasing start for Puel ... personally was delighted to see Mahrez given the free role behind Vardy and Gray brought in ... we have one of the quickest, most skilled and most exciting attacks in the EPL when they are all on it ... first goal today was cracking <cheers>
