It's unlikely that you'll replace about five midfielders in one window, though.
Very disruptive to a squad and it doesn't happen often at this level. Massively risky.
Didn't Amartey and Mendy basically lose the season to injuries, anyway?

We've been linked with Lemar too, but that might just be because we have to buy a French left-winger every season.
No idea why, as we never play them. Caused us a lot of problems in the Champions League, though.

No I don't think we'll replace 5, but I do think we'll bring in at least one.

Amartey hasn't been injured but Mendy has (he hasn't looked good in the games he has played, in fairness he's not had many).

It's going to be an interesting summer though. We just desperately need to sort out the management post. If we're going to get a "proper" one in then we need to make our mind up because they'll start getting new clubs quickly.

Tuchel's just left Dortmund. The club's comments about him could put people off him, though.

I was joking :emoticon-0148-yes: I'm sure there is a link between us and Chelsea both winning the league the last two years without Europe. Maybe watch out for Arsenal next season? (Not necessarily to win but to have a good season).
No English teams really have that kind of strength. Spain, France, Italy and German all have at least one if not more stronger sides than any we have to offer imo

Plus I think as a whole...the rest of their leagues are a bit weaker than ours. They can concentrate on Europe and manage the league. Here if you've played in Europe WBA, Stoke, Palace etc are licking their lips at the prospect of facing you after a European mid week. People argue our league is weak because we don't do as well in Europe. I think it's the other way around....their leagues are so weak they can focus on Europe more without getting found out domestically.

That's true, we have a much tighter League generally. Spain has the elite

Arsenal are in Europe next season!
Do you think they will be after Mahrez and possibly Vardy ?
(I know this is the prem board where everything is a wum...but its a genuine question)
I would cash in on Vardy due to his age and make Ulloa the main striker...have always rated him.

I'd love Mahrez at Spurs. He can help us win the league, great option off the bench.

  10. Everton or Stoke, perhaps?

He'd do a job for both those clubs.

  11. He won't be the first, mate.

As I said before, this thread won't be done until Leicester are relegated once more.

It's utterly unbelievable the delusion among these Foxes!

You've got to love Akky, though. He's comedy gold, that lad.

  13. We'd take him at Spurs, Bambi, but I can't see who he'd replace.

Same for all the major clubs.

However, there are plenty of clubs he could go to that would be a step up from Leicester, and which would mean that he won't have to leave the Prem. I think he could do a superb job at an Everton or a Stoke.

  14. Are you really that surprised, though, mate?

I'm certainly not. This is exactly the kind of apocalyptic scenario that I envisaged. All of their "stars" will desert, and they will be left at the level they should have remained - Championship.

I'm not wumming, I am being absolutely objective, here.

How dare you not WUM on this board <yikes>
That's my bad on Arsenal, I was just thinking CL!
No way should we cash in on Vardy! He is still so underrated by everyone outside the club.
I'm not sure where Mahrez will go. Quite honestly I can't see where there are any exciting options for him and the Spanish giants wont want him...

...this became a proper chat about footie yesterday Quentin... so best avoid it if I were you... you'll get humiliated again ...why don't you spend the time wisely and go and learn some of your team's terrace chants? ...will stop you looking the proper twat again next season if the non armchair fans start referring to them ... it was truly embarrassing this ...as you know :)

Is it an exciting option now though? You have to think that this is his one big move opportunity as other clubs will not bow down to let their players leave like we do so wherever he goes now he will effectively be stuck at during his prime. I think last season he had his dream move to Barcelona in sight but that's gone now surely

As I said on our board, what does he want. Money, consistent CL, trophies or regular football. There is no teams in this country that will be able to offer all of that. This is purely because no team in our league is guaranteed trophies due to the competition and even the safest bet for CL, Arsenal, has now had that run come to an end.
Monaco would be the best bet from that point of view as they could offer it all in addition to living in Monte Carlo which compared to London, Manchester and even Leicester, come on!
