Made a lot of poor decisions, poor old Swansea! Oh, and what was I thinking with QPR and Aston Villa? <doh>

Safe to say that I should never predict anything ever again.

Also glad that both Norwich and Swansea have pushed on, even if I'd prefer to see more teams below us than above.

Aside from Mr Nice and Gay Bacon Strips who randomised their tables, and Douglas Bubbletrousers who optimistically thought we would finish 4th, not a single person predicted Southampton to finish as high as we currently are. Due to normal bias, that must be so rare! Really emphasises the brilliance of this season!

A lot of people (myself included) seemed to have high expectations of QPR <doh>
Also, can't help but feel a bit silly for our pessimism towards Swansea!

We should have realised that buying loads of great individuals doesn't necessarily transform into a great team!

A lot of underestimating Swansea, I think, is due to the uncertainty of how Laudrup would take on from the side that did so well under Rodgers; and of course the impact of Michu!

There you go RSS, I obviously haven't been saying it enough. There were several prediction threads and on one of them I said we'd finish 10th.

EDIT: Forgot to add that that was the only prediction I made. I didn't hedge my bets, so to speak.

I actually managed after much convincing to get my brother-in-law to put £20 on us finishing top half several months ago, I can't remember exactly when, or what the odds were but they were about 30/1 I believe.

Don't let me down boys!

I'm still hoping Saints will finish in the top half of the table and I think we will.

I too predicted that we would finish tenth but that was more in hope than anything else. I recall that DevonFrattoniser mocked me at the time and some of my friends who are Pompey supporters were telling me until about a week ago that we were doomed and they would be playing us again the season after next.
