The League Cup Final

We've already torn the Chavs a new one all over the park, in the league, being one of the only teams to utterly humiliate them, in a long time. I'm expecting the Cup Final to be different, however, as I expect the Chelsea players will lift themselves a little bit for the occasion.

But Jose will have eyes on the more important West Ham and PSG games.

Plus I kind of have an ulterior motive, as Chelsea are guaranteed to finish above us, them winning will allow an extra Europa spot

Nah in all seriousness, I think (hope) if we can keep everyone fit, the fact you and Spurs have Europa games will make the difference and we can finish above one of you (hopefully both!)

 

I've said all season that although I think you guys will fall away, i hope you don't so long as its not to our detriment. Least we could say our B Team did well then

I don't seriously think we will win the EL but I do think we should be playing a strong side in an attempt to purely because the winners get a CL place. I expect the competition to get much harder after the next round, its when teams usually start to take it seriously.

PS...it's good that if a team were to win the CL or EL and finish outside the top four it doesn't cost fourth place their spot anymore. That only happens if both competitions are won in that way and that's very unlikely to ever happen.

 

Agree with pretty much all of that apart from the 'B Team' comment We're very grateful for the £50million though, perhaps you can give us another 50 this Summer, in return we will give you Dani Osvaldo and Emanuel Mayuka?

You should take the Europa seriously as well, like you say winner gets a group stage spot in CL and I think you've got more chance of winning the Europa than finishing 3rd in the League. I expect United n Arsenal to finish 3rd/4th so you really should go all out for it though I still think it's unfair that CL dropouts get a 2nd chance in the EL but that's a different debate.
