Lawrenson's one is, everyone's played 11 games and we're in 15th.

 

To be fair his predictions aren't that bad if you swap Wolves's position with ours

 

Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrenson are two ugly old bitter washouts who have never been good enough to manage, or coach a team. They sit on a couch on a saturday night and simply mock and put down teams they dislike and up Liverpool (who have the only fans who can put up with them) when everyone knows that if they EVER got the chance to manage or coach a premier league team even us they would jump at the opportunity like a pair of excited ten year olds. They're a pair of twats, when Gary Neville comes off as a likable and happy pundit you know something is wrong in the game. Give Neville the MOTD post.

 

Well said. I despise Gary Neville but he is the most honest and genuine pundit there is.

 

Never thought I'd say it but Neville's punditry has been top notch this season. Miles better than MotD's and a lot better that Andy Gray was as well.

 

Never felt hate towards Neville simply because I love players who stay at the club they supported there entire life and are brilliant servants. I think that Neville has shown what he's actually like off the pitch, a nice fella and not to mention master at the game. There need's to be more like him. Set him as an example.

There was one against Man City where he ran over to celebrate in front of their fans when he wasn't even playing. Always struck me as being a total bellend, but seems alright now.

 

My prediction for his next prediction -

Newcastle scrapped another lucky 3 pts from Everton. This will be their real test against Man City, and I mean a real test this time, not crappy Stoke or **** Spurs. If Newcastle fail to beat City i expect them to get relegated as it shows they can't compete with the big boys.

Unfortunately i don't see them picking up anything against City this Saturday.

Just saw a article in the daily mail called "Match of the day? Or More of the same?" About Hansen moving to a new show and it said in the article "No tactics, no help, no incite." Basically a giant mockery of the bloke and his intelligence. Might start reading the dailymail..

 

They're picking on the wrong person IMO. Hansen is a much better pundit than a lot of them, Dixon is the only one that's better on Motd. At least Hansen is fairly articulate and has some insight into games, Shearer just sits there saying nobody's heard of Ben Arfa he is a waste of space on that programme despite how much I love him. Lawrenson, well the less said about that ****er the better. Gary Lineker is just a pandering sycophant and a pathetic figure who quite frankly should be removed in favour of a presenter who's better at inciting debates.

As I say in every thread about MOTD though I remember the dark days of 'The Premiership' on ITV, Jesus that was bloody horrible, they'd only bother to send live commentators to the Man United and Arsenal games, the rest all got highlights like our Carling Cup match against Blackburn. MOTD is miles miles better than that.
