The latest England & Spain international squads.

The scary thing is, ignoring all the amazing outfield players, try comparing the goalkeepers:

Casillas Hart
Valdez Carson
Reina Stockdale

Joe Hart is ace, but the other two?!? Jose Reina can't get a game, and David de Gea can't even make their squad!

 

You have to be honest. Individually, none of Newcastle's English players are international class. Maybe Stevie Taylor could do well.

But we have a back 4 with 3 Englishmen and the best current defensive record in the entire league.

Surely if Capello is picking players on form (like he said), then they at least deserve a look?


How Micah Richards isn't in the squad is beyond me. Best right back in the country by an absolute mile at the moment.

 

I sort of agree on both points, even though they are a tad contradictory, but I wouldn't consider anyone bar S Taylor for the squad. As good as Raylors playing he's not international quality, and Danny Simpson is far from it, especially with Jones and Walker in the squad and Richards not even in there!

I know its fun to get on Capello, but the craziest omission is Micah Richards, otherwise its a sensible squad (though form or not I'd still have Carroll over Zamora).
