Is your new persona a "Steve Bruce is a nice guy - leave him alone!" type thing that will last a few weeks before your change your name again?
Wood is doing okay and has made a difference to the team. It was only ever you that constantly berated him.
Wood's all-round game has been OK, but he's looked frightened in front of goal. Not sure how prolific he was at Burnley in terms of chances per goal, he did look like a decent striker from what I saw of him on TV when he was there. I'm hoping it's a temporary form thing. Hopefully the goals will come with bit of confidence, but he does look out of sorts when chances come his way at the moment.
I'm going to side towards Roly on this one.. From what I've seen so far Wood really isn't good enough. This idea he's doing a job doesn't detract from how limited his overall ability is and his lack of ability to create or score goals. He's made a big difference though because we had nobody who could do what he can and still don't and what he does is an underrated value. It's 25 million well spent if we stay an and next season I doubt we'll see much of him.
Chris Wood is now New Zealand's all time top scorer. Yeah I realise that they don't play teams like Germany and Italy that often, but still, he does score.
