Man leaves jail, boards plane with no ticket May 31, 2012, 12:24 pm A man who boarded a plane without a ticket within hours of being released from jail has raised some serious concerns about airport security in America. Convicted thief Marc Duncan was given parole on Monday night. He headed to San Diego International Airport, where he brazenly walked out an emergency exit, on to the tarmac and joined a line of passengers boarding a United Express plane bound for LA, CNN reports. San Diego harbour police chief John Bolduc said he "completely bypassed TSA screening". "He was in a public area and went out an emergency fire door, which gave him access to the tarmac." The door's alarm went off and police were on the scene within four minutes. By that stage the 38-year-old had taken a seat on the plane. A flight attendant taking a head count realised the plane had one extra passenger and everyone was made to disembark and have their luggage searched. Duncan was identified and arrested. Passenger Nicholas Blasgen told KGTV he struggles to understand how it happened. "It sounds like they just have lax security or not enough management. Something was going wrong." Both the harbour police and the TSA are investigating the security breach.
