Remember finding a wall machine that was in the sun at Boldon and getting every bar of chocolate 5 boys out with a lolly stick about 15 ate them all waiting for a bus to get to Ford Estate spewed up 4 times before the conductor through me off before we had even got to the town, needless to say 5 boys chocolate is not one of my favourites now.

 

and they were bloody hollow.

 

i actually used to like parma violets.....but then i love most ket, including pontefract cakes!

 

If it hasn't already been mentioned I go for McGowan;s Highland Toffee.

 

i remmber the stuff that fizzed and popped on your tongue - mental kets...

Remember them little boxes of imps and spanish sticks they used to burn your gob out.

 

My favourite chewy was Beech nut never see it now.

 

Bumber bars 1d when I was a lad, 2 sticks of 'spanish' from the local chemist for a 1d (a penny) and don't forget licorish (liquorice) root - now that was a 1/2 hour of heaven.

 

Texan bars, melted by the fire then chilled. then scranned

 

I always used to seek out the strawberry or lime flavours in boxes of chocolates..

 

Holland toffee bars - pulled yer teeth out.
