Absolutely this. The biggest offenders by far, is family members. 1/3 of child abuse takes place within the family. It’s under 10% for organised networking (not sure of the actual percentage) and the most common offenders of child abuse are teenagers who account for about half of the offences that are committed. (sorry for delayed reply, I’m constantly on and off and keep missing posts that I’ve been meaning to reply too)
Same here come back after about 3 days with too many notifications to go through. On that figure about child abusers in the family, I can well believe it. I've attended plenty of core-group meetings on child protection cases where it's a family member. Probably shouldn't be saying but most recent is a Yr 5 boy who disclosed his adult cousin doing all sorts and it's become a CP case.
If there is a way to make money, organising this **** keeping celebs safe and trafficking girls to them, then it's happening. Simple as. Saf's absolutely spot on. They're absolutely everywhere, all over the place. It shouldn't be a surprise that they're in your church or playing characters in your movies. Its just that people stereotype your local nonce as an obvious weirdo with big glasses, not the funny guy who can light up a room. Or more apt for the UK the local charity case who dedicates hours at the local hospital he paid for.
Whatever happened to that BBC news presenter that was sending some guy large sums of money, the last I thought I'd heard was he'd admitted himself to hospital with mental health issues, and as far a I know not been heard from since - I assume this means it's all been brushed under the carpet now, until the next tv / news presenter knocks up a friendship with their next charitable cause?
