He got a 3 match ban though. would have been a red if the ref had seen it.

Yeah, you'll have to get used to the lack of ref protection. That'll be why he kicked off with Henry in the match, Henry should have been sent off three times over the last time Barton played Wolves...

 

Wonder if Barton will get in trouble for gesturing to the crowd? Totally unfair because if it had been anybody else MOTD wouldn't have even commented.

 

thought he played good last season then his twitter crap got on my tits ,then i realised it was one good season in 4 and some people on here claim he's a legend ...most of his time here he's been nothing but an embarrassment.....cue the lynch mob

 

Good summing up of the Barton era! Like rollercoaster said the baggage outweighs his footballing return. I'm glad he is no longer with us.

 

He's no longer our player, so why are we bothered?

 

People say "good for him speaking his mind", but I don't look to footballers to entertain me off the pitch with witty banter and quoting dead philosophers; entertain me on the pitch, and show integrity off the pitch, and I'll respect you. The fact is, Joey should let his play do the talking, especially considering his baggage, and if he keeps making scenes like this, that's all people will remember him by.

 

I quite admired him at the start for it. Talking about how rubbish Ashley & Co. are. But then came all of the quoting philosophers, like some pseudo-intellectual narcissistic twat. That pissed me off.

And then he began bagging out the club after leaving, while still saying he 'loves the fans'. He honestly needs his internet disconnected.
