No hard feelings I hope. We'll enjoy Brendan as well as Allen and I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy the 22m. Good luck for next season, except for when you play us!
Undisclosed fee????? WTF. Oh well, glad that's over, now we can refocus on the game on the field, instead of the nightmare of a "game" in the media. Best of luck to Joe. Even more luck to us. Onward and upward.
I'm sure ML will be licking his lips, at the prospect of Jenkings giving some dosh to spend on a replacement. Probably have some change to spare as well.
The press release stated "Undisclosed Fee", then at the bottom stated "More to follow" ... what more is there.
Rodgers completed the £15 million deal for the 22-year-old and claimed he’d have paid even more to ensure his priority signing moved to Anfield from Swansea City. “This boy, when you see him play, you'd think he was a Spanish player, a real European player. I would have paid many more millions for this kid,” said Rodgers. "He is a unique player in that he's a British player who doesn't give the ball away. When he comes into this team you'll see the difference he can make. "He's incredible on the ball, his intelligence for a 22 year old is frightening, his game understanding is very, very good and he's in love with the football. He loves the ball. "He wants the ball all the time - he has so much courage to get on the ball and play and I think he'll fit in really, really well with all the other clever players we already have here. "I'm excited about the prospect of him fitting in with our front four. Joe will fit in with that well, but there is a lot of improvement to make in the team. It will get better and better as each day goes on." Allen is expected to make his Liverpool debut in Saturday’s pre-season meeting with Bayer Leverkusen. Liverpool, who have released striker Craig Bellamy to join Cardiff on a free transfer, will face Hearts in the Europa League play-off later this month. "
Good old Bellamy making sure Allen wanted to join us. Thank you though Swansea, hope he's a good player. £15m should be a lot for you, will do wonders for a small club.
"It is understood that Liverpool have agreed to triple Allen's Swansea salary, which is worth £15,000-a-week, and supplement his new £45,000-a-week deal with a £2m signing-on fee." Jeezuz...
Joe deserves a chance at a big club, perhaps he will in time. please log in to view this image Only joking puddle fans ..................... no I`m not.
This baffles me too. Especially when you take into account that we just paid 2 million for a player that was named in la liga team of last season above the likes of Fabregas, pretty much an 8th of the price that we just palmed Joe off for. I reckon this shows astute business from us, reckless business from Liverpool, and severe lack of imagine from Rogers
It's time to shut this down now. There's a new season around the corner, better we discuss OUR players, and what the future may hold for Swansea City F.C.
