It was just an illness as Magic Assist says. He might even be available for Wales' next game for Serbia, so nothing to worry about yet IMO.
I am a active member on 7 different footy forums and no-one - and I literally mean absolutely no-one - talks a smuch 100%, grade A, top-choice donkey shizer as you do. It really is taking to a new level by you mate. Its bullshit turned all the way up to 11. Putting you on ignore before by eyes go on strike in responses to being made to read your consistent nonsense. There never has been, and there never will be, a player as good as Gerrard, who in his hey day was one of the best Attacking Midfielders in the world and had the best midfielders in the world like Zidane bigging him up, at Swansea. gerrard is the second best player to ever have played for this club, and thats no easy feat when you look at the players we've been lucky to see at Anfield. He'll be remembered long after he's finished paying as belonging to the very top level of midfielders who have ever played. The only chance this could happen with a Swansea player is if Allen goes on to become the world class midfielder he is starting to look like now. Jesus H Christ.
The point is that Gerrard was world class for Liverpool; Charles etc were world class for other teams. Simples. Christ almighty this has dragged on.
Joe Allen isn't injured, he had a tempetature and was suffering from sickness. Its only a minor thing, he's to be watched over the next 48 hours to see if he makes then next game.
Back on thread. Joe Allen will be even better when he has like minded players around him so Brendan had better get buying. Borini will get goals but not from the wing. He is a natural penalty box striker and Rodgers knows this, so for the life of me I don't understand why he keeps playing him out of position. Borini was p****d off at his last club because they insisted on playing him wide. I can see him wanting to move on if Rodgers persists and you'd be losing a hell of a good striker if he does. Final thought. Gerrard is a great player, no question about it, although he is below par at the moment. Charles, Allchurch and Jones were also great players. All of them were great in their different ways at different times. I will just add this, though. Trevor Brooking in his book about the hundred greatest ever British footballers (which included Allchurch and Jones) said of Charles: when he played, the only question you could ask about him was this; is he the world's best centre forward or the world's best centre half? Some accolade that and endorsed by many of the best judges in the game on a worldwide basis - even to this day. The Juventus president said that if he could ever find another John Charles he would personally carry him on his back to Turin. Football is a brilliant game and evokes such passionate debate because we all have our favourites. And that is as it should be.
Joe Allen been named the Standard Chartered player of the month. http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/allen-flattered-at-monthly-award
