I've just read the PM Dan and thanks from both of us. As for the amount, H is correct about all donations being welcome as I've had amounts of £2 and £3 from a couple of colleagues.

I've been having problems with my calf muscles when walking around town but that's not a bad thing. It usually happens when I'm carrying heavy shopping and my laundry (I haven't got a washing machine) - I'm not even going to have anything heavy in my bag that gets driven between checkpoints. It also happens when I walk fast, which means that I'm aware of what pace is a comfortable one to go at.

don't push those calves too hard...! Build it up Barry, i know you've done this before, but in my experience, that means we think we can do better than we can at the beginning! lol...take it easy, and you'll be fine.

Sponsoring you this week btw :)

Morning all. Just a week to go and at this time pie and I will have been going for approx six and a half hours. We'll have been past the breakfast stop but I'm not sure how much further than that we'll have got.

Good luck Jersey & Pie - hope the weather is perfect (not too hot and nice and dry) for the walk.

    Sponsorship all done...

This time tomorrow, we'll have been going for about 4 3/4 to 5 hours depending on whether they'll let us start earlier than 3. Packed my bag last night, so am just about ready. One forecast I've seen is showing for a dry day with a slight cloud cover, which would be perfect but another one says showers. I don't mind if they're during the day, I don't want to start in showers.

I had to drop out after 17 miles because of my asthma - I'd already taken my inhaler twice and I wasn't going to risk having a problem betweeen checkpoints. Youngest has just been dropped to me and pie was in his Mum's car. He managed almost 30 miles.

H, I think you can still sponsor us as any cash payments can be taken into the bank until Friday so I would guess that they'll still be accepting online payments but I'm not completely sure.

Well done to the two of you. Rather better than I would have done even if I had inhaled something red. ;)

Well done both of you. Such a shame you could not complete it Barry, but your health has to come first. Its no good if you collapse lol.
