A number of clubs in the PL would very happily welcome him. Newcastle would have stayed up if he'd been appointed earlier.

It's unbelievable that a Champions League-winning manager is seen as a terrible appointment for a Championship club.

I was absolutely convinced Rafa wouldn't go to Newcastle. Syd said he would. I was wrong LOL

IMHO to write him off after 2 games is too early. It takes time to adjust to the Championship. I've no idea if it'll work longer term but they should have the squad for it.

Leeds are likely to have had 3 managers by the end of the season.
plus 2 more owners and a European Cup..

I just went to have a look on their board to see what first impressions of Diame were, Shola 2.0 was one opinion, not good!
I also read Diame saying when he gets fit. Made me laugh, is he ever fit?

If Benitez loses again tonight, and gets sacked, Bruce would be the best option available to them, but I imagine a lot of their fans would turn their noses up at the prospect of him being their manager.

All he'd need to do is talk about the games where he stood on the Gallowgate End and watched SuperMac or whoever and they'll be eating out the palm of his hands.

They love 'one of their own' more than most and it supersedes almost anything else.

Don't you mean: "watched the palm of his hands while eating a BigMac"?

Yep, that's a fair point, that could well end up being the case. But, could they forgive him for having the audacity to manage Sunderland a few years ago?

Considering the newcastle fans wrote an open letter begging Rafa to stay with them this season, it will be interesting to see how long they give him if results don't come good. However I think they will go up if he is given time.
I agree his career has gone off the boil, but I'm sure he can get a well financed team out of the championship (the right end, before anyone is tempted).
