Yep! God knows who it'll be though! I thought huntelaar would have been perfect, but we won't get him by the looks of things which is a real shame.

Remy's name has come up again, and PNP pointed out Ricky van wolfswinkel who we've also been linked to.

That's who it'll be though - a "Bryan Ruiz" type from holland for about 10mill. - it's clear we need one desperately.

 

Why aren't we in for Huntlaar,he's a proven scorer,and Availible,it would be nice to get him,and get one over the Goons

 

He'd be a great addition, Tots. fingers crossed, I think he's the best option we could hope for in Jan, or the summer for that matter.

we're also being linked to PSV's Kevin Strootman today. I have only seen him a couple of times for Holland, but I imagine he'd be utilised next to sandro perhaps, and he might be an alternative to Moutinho? Therefore Dembele playing further up.

Well,it's reported we have 20 million to spend,And we are in europe,even if it's only the Europa( Thanks Chelsea),so all we need to do is sell him on coming to us,that shouldn't be to hard,Surely?

 

when you consider the fact that there's a new stadium on its way as well as a new training complex, no, it shouldn't be.

But CL football and Wages will always be a huge factor. - look at history, arsenal have been in there every year for god knows how many years. We haven't.

 

Clubs already in the CL would have a far easier 'sell'.

 

question.. if he leaves in Jan, he can't the play for Arsenal in the CL.

However, could he play for us in the EL?

 

I think the Uefa rule is that you are cup-tied from ALL european competition. If KJH, transfers in Jan he can play no further part in European comps, he would have to base any decision on the likelihood of being in it next season.

Thinking about it more, I've got a feeling Pav suffered with this when we signed him.

I'd love Erikson. Like it or not, Spurs may have a reputation as a place stars can take the penultimate step in their careers, so Erikson could be perfect for us.

On the other hand, I agree with SOS's point: if Dembele had a twin, it would be perfect. I'd like to see how Dembele would play CAM for us, which we might try if we got another deep lying playmaker.

Finally, there is the Ade to ACON issue (though I just read he's in a dispute about pay with Togo--can only hope it isn't resolved!) But even though that leaves us with 1 1/2 strikers, and an injury to Defoe might be deadly, what we're likely to get with 20 million is someone not quite good enough, when we could get a very good player at any other position.
