Tomislav Gomelt, our 19-year-old Croatian, has gone out on loan to Espanyol for the rest of the campaign. Is that the done deal?
Only thing that he's done that I can think of is this:

Saha and Reo-Coker on frees tomorrow, then? <doh>

I blame Roo for starting this thread way back in November and SoS for supporting him. <laugh>

At least we know now that this twitter lark is a complete waste of your life, just as Boss said.

In future transfer windows I will only listen to Boss as he is obviously the only ITK we have. <ok>

Oh! and i will continue to have nothing to do with Twatter or Facebirk. <cool>

just a thought from our very own Levy:

It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low.
And we of Spurs have set our deals very high, so high in fact
that every failure will have in it an echo of another missed striker

Your absolutely right,Spurf.I beginning to think Daniel likes to visit the bank 2 or 3 times a day to count the bloody money and kill the moths!!!!
I guess we've got two rely on our lazy two strikers.......but you never know. They may get their fingers out and put the ball in the net again.
I'll get my prayer mat out again. It worked against Norwich with the equaliser!!!!?

Joachim Berbier a French football writer quote"PSG is not a football team with people like Ibrahimovitch, just names with big egos." Beckham beware. He's not getting paid,he's giving it to charity. The PSG supporters are not excited saying he needs to prove himself at his age. At least there's nobody signed by our rivals to do too much damage to us.

Is the Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo Beckham trust fund really a charity?

The Simon Dawkins loan has got to be one of the strangest transfers I've seen. Villa in a relegation fight so they sign an unproven, unrated player with a dubious injury record.

Yes. On reflection, the one thing I really wanted was a solid DM option. Relying on Parker when he's relatively old and coming off a major injury is asking for trouble, and I don't like the thought of Hudd or Livermore playing. Interestingly, we may have three good options at deep lying playmaker, with Holtby able to play there, and Carroll looking good when given a chance...

All the striker options looked like wastes of money in the making to me. And I keep thinking: the one player we have who's been able to put it in the net lately (bar one brilliant goal from Bale) just lost his job, it seems, to Holtby. Isn't the sensible thing to rest Defoe and start Dempsey for a couple of games, then see where we are when Adebayor gets back?

The tease on DamnYou was annoying. Actually, it was was really annoying. But if I can forget about that, which years of therapy might succeed in helping me do, if, before the window opened, you told me we'd have Holtby playing for us in January for next to nothing (the playmaker on a CL team, a German international), and have moved a bunch of players on, I'd have been very happy.

Parker was our player of the year last year, he's one of the top DMs in the league, very capable of deputising for Sandro. Also the thought of having to watch Dempsey play another minute as a lone striker gives me the shivers.

I like the old adage that Rome wasn't built in a day etc etc. We can bid again for Damiaio(SP) in the summer. We have a new coach who wants to rebuild to his desires and it's better to do it over time than straight away. So what if we don't win anything this season. This month sees AVB break new ground in the PL as he was sacked in the Feb with Chelsea. We don't know what he's capable of over a whole season so I'm willing to be patient. He's kept us consistently in the top 4 and it really isn't his fault that our strikers aren't performing as Defoe for instance has been very inconsistent before. We have Holtby so let's get a win and let's go.

We will never get Damiaio. If our offers were genuine , we would have payed the price as it won't change.
Consistent cock and bull from the Levy , with small club mentality .
Don't believe the crap they feed us .
The sad thing is we may have years of this to come.
I can't remember what Glory looks like any more.

Too early to say that. We need to wait until the list of targets are revealed. (And just how badly we ****ed up) No one yesterday got any info because of the rush, apparently. - which does make sense. But 1 guy was right over a quite a few things including holtby, which he was bang on about. So I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.

What I have realised is that this club has no ambition. The stadium excuses will come out in full flow no doubt, but it's just another excuse IMO. Even when it's completed and we're bringing in more money, I don't think anything will change. All these big names we're linked with are just PR stunts to try and keep us happy, but it's so transparent.

We are chasing a CL place and are desperate for a striker and that wasn't enough to do ANYTHING. It's all about the profits and always will be. This is why I can't see anything changing.

Townsend was Also a bizarre one for me. Now we have no cover for our wingers. Our best game is played utilizing the width. Sig and Dempsey cause us to lose our shape when "out wide" (as they drift inward) and it becomes too congested.

Everton spend everything they can afford. FairPlay to the if they get the CL spot this season, they deserve it for being ambitious.

Despite all the rumours and ITK's on Twatter and the like, it seems pretty clear to me that Damiao is THE target. That's been pretty consistent for a while now. All these other rumours about other strikers - Negredo etc, are just that - rumours. The question now is will Levy cough up the necessary dish to secure him?

It's past tense now. He hasn't coughed up. It was this window, last summer and the previous 4 windows we needed him to cough up, he didn't, he won't. We won't get 4th, I can only hope Everton do

Can't see us holding on to a top4 place now,and possibly Gareth Bale if we don't get C/L football, thanks Levy.On an upbeat note for me Sutton United have signed ex-Spurs youth player James Folkes.

I know nothing of Holtby's past or his capabilities but perhaps he's a scoring midfielder and can find the net a few times for us. Sid,I think you're being a tad harsh but I know where you're coming from.

TMT I get your rationale here, but AVB has proven in 6 months what he can do with players. Youngsters have progressed and he's got results with none of his own players. - he deserves some support from the chairman.

For me, the need for a striker was desperate. - if we don't make the CL, we will see transfer requests. If AVB has done a respectable job and just missed out (same old story), I can see him moving on. He'll have got his reputation back and everyone will know we missed out because of levy's failures to address the issues again.

Mourinho to Chelsea? AVB to RM with bale following suit?

This window was a catch 22 for me. We needed to strengthen, and we did half a job. I just feel that missing out again will not only be heartbreaking for the fans, but it'll have a knockon affect on the team.
