They will be sold in the summer, But not at 15M. Clyne will go for around 15/20. and Morgan for about 25M. I reckon.

 

I do fear an injury to Pelle more than ever. He didn't have his best game today, and may have been carrying a knock, but was still our best outlet going forward. If he gets injured we have no one whatsoever to come in a do that job. Even if Long was fit, he isn't of the same type, and any other striker in the squad is clearly lacking. January is a tough month to sign players, especially strikers, but it certainly is our weakest area.

 

Yes it is a worry, however I may go against the grain here. I thought Pelle wasn poor today and in the last few games I have felt the finesses that are missing from his game have been highlighted. Today I didn't think he held the ball up at all well. He kept either trying to play it first time, or would let the defender get a leg to it. Admittedly Williams had a good game, however on today's game, Gomis gave a lesson in how to use your strength to hold the ball up.

I just wonder what would happen if we had to play two speed merchants up top? I wouldn't drop him or make that change, but if he got injured and we were forced to, the opposition wouldn't know how to play us

 

I'd be surprised if we get a striker in tomorrow but I think/hope it'll be a top priority in the summer. Pelle hasn't been anything close to a flop but since October the goals have dried up a bit. If we want to continue improving next season we probably need someone better up front.

 

I think today highlighted the need for a player arriving late in the box that can finish but going to be tough to get before the end of the window.

 

I just posted something similar. Pelle shows all the signs of fatigue to me. Trying really hard but not creating. He's been a stellar buy and has been so close to another 6 goals. The guy needs a bit of time on the bench to get a breather and some perspective. Hopefully this new Serb will give Tadic some inspiration and free us up to rest Pelle.

In retrospect I consider that we approached the Transfer Window in the same way that we play our football, with patience and determination to get what we wanted, final score 3 - 1.
