If you read the article it didn't go so well for 2 other Cheltenham boys snapped up by us and Arsenal - but we didn't have the black box then!

I firmly believe now that we need to sign a striker now with the sad news jay needs another Op.

We are so screwed if anything happens to Pelle...

Yeah fully agree with this, I would of liked another striker anyway but this just confirms it for me. As you say an injury to Pelle would quickly make us slide down the table.

Jay plays wide :emoticon-0105-wink:. If anything we need another winger now. We have Pelle/Long and Juanmi/ Mane as secondary strikers, who can all play up front all to feel one spot most of the time. Were as we only have Mane/ Tadic and Long at a push that can play out wide.

What's Seager? Wide or up top? To be honest I think it's different in the modern game, there's so many 'forwards' these days that play both. I actually find it quite weird but there's not many 'out and out' strikers anymore, the game has evolved. I wouldn't say Long out wide is a push, it's where he's played most of his games for us isn't it? Similarily hasn't Juanmi played wide for us as well?

I prefer to just put people in the 'forward' bracket. and we're light as **** up top.

We could always try what Hodgson did on Tuesday and play Bertrand as a winger! It's worked for other left backs we have had in the past...

Seager is a out and out forward. Juami usually comes on for Davis or Tadic. But Juanmi is a player that likes to stand on the shoulders of a striker. We really now only have Mane and Tadic that like to play out wide and now only have Mane who has a burst of pace.

Seagers reminds me a little of Michael Owen in how he plays. Hopefully he sounds a little less boring :)

Fair enough, how good is Seager though? I know he's been banging them in but is he ready to step up?

As for the Michael Owen comparisons then ****ing hell are we in for a treat if he's anywhere near as good as that!

I would definitely like another forward someone who can play up top and wide (for you Beef ;) ) would be a bonus. Away from all of our speculation though do you think we're likely to be doing any business in Jan?

He probably the closest of the young players to the main squad. I can see him, Mugabi, Gape and Hesketh pushing into the squad soon. Then we have McCarthy Wood, Sims, etc after them. In a year or two our squad will look very english again.

Hesketh! What has happened there? Koeman gave him a run last season but no sign of breaking through since he returned from his injury.

Doing well again. Him and Gape/ Reed have been our best midfielders this season.

I can't remember who we were playing when he got injured, I just remember a player a lot bigger and stronger than him basically taking him out in a 50:50 situation. Maybe the delay has included time to bulk up a bit?
