As suggested before, Saints not willing to let Juanmi go permanently at this stage (reputedly)....whatever is going on, Saints won't be happy with Juanmi's loose lips.

A player isn't paid to play, but to be available. Can understand a player's frustration, but he shouldn't be commenting on ongoing talks (if indeed there are any on the club's side).

Just light relief....16 of the strangest transfers in English football history. Kevin Keegan's to Southampton in there...pointing out that Hamburg to Southampton would be a step up now, but not back then. Caulker's move to Liverpool is in there too.

 

I remember Allan Simonsen going to Charlton from Barca... incredible. I also remember seeing him stuck in the mud on The Big Match

 

And Gravesen to Real Madrid. I almost choked on my cornflakes when I saw that one.

 

He is a human being. If he isn't happy then why not speak out? He isn't slagging off Saints so I have no problem. All he is saying is he would like to return to Spain. Nothing wrong with that, some people just don't settle.

Didnt Koeman get slated for doing this, suggesting we should dip our hands in our pockets and also not sell, then made a comment about the youth not being up to scratch?

I may be dumb but these are fairly similar...

 

Plus the quote in the article is isolated. So he could have been asked about a pending loan move. Which clearly is not unreasonable for either party to be somewhat open about.

If we did have designs on keeping him then I would prefer a loan to a championship side to try and get him accustomed to English football.

On the last part there's a difference. Is Juanmi saying Saints are treating him like ****? Is Juanmi saying some players aren't up to scratch? Nope. He is simply saying he isn't settled and wants to return home. If Koeman said he hasn't settled and wants to go home I wouldn't mind.

 

Players don't leave us to go to teams like Swansea and Everton....why would they, unless we are pushing them out (which we obviously aren't). As you said, laughable.

I'm not saying that Beefy. I'm saying that RK went to the press and people moaned at him for going so. Juanmi has gone to the press, neither was slating Saints so no issues there, only difference is its fine for Janmi yo talk but not RK, since so many questioned about him doing so.

I don't think RK was wrong saying what he said about the youth either...
