Doubt we will need to save up as I think we will get around £50m for the both.

They offered 20 million in the summer...cheapskates. Les Reed wouldn't answer the phone for that. It comes down to where Mane wants to go (if we let him) in the summer....if it's United, I would expect 30+ million. To us he's worth more, but, once the decision, is made it will come down to negotiations.

He said £50M plus during the fans forum. He said it with a smile on his face, but I reckon he was serious. Fact is, why not.? I don't want him to leave, You don't want him to leave, Saints certainly don't want him to leave, and he has two years left on his contract. If he doesn't extend his contract there's no reason why we would have to sell until the end of next season.

Saints again looking at Byram. We have been scouting him again recently. He has also just rejected a new contract offer.

Saw a link to thorgen hazard the other day, can't remember where. Probably bull. Think priority has to be a striker that can put pressure on the big man

Well that didn't last long did it...media all over Wanyama to Arsenal now.
If Wenger has been watching him recently he might not be so keen to shell out large sums of money for him.
Absolutely convinced that Big Vic' s lack of passing ability wouldn't go down to well at tippy tap pay Gunners

He's exactly the sort of player they need. They have enough players who can pass well. They need someone who will rough up the opposition and break up play and Vic fits that.

A question for people. Given that DM seems to be the area where we have the most options (Wanyama, Romeu, Clasie, Reed. JWP and Davis to some extent) how big an offer would Arsenal have to make for it to be worth letting Wanyama go and re-investing the fee on wingers/forwards? This is obviously assuming good enough options were/are available.

We will lose him, but sadly he's a player I think is under valued often, with criticism at his passing, etc. We'd miss his presence.

I like Wanyama and I'm not suggesting he should be sold. I'm just wondering whether selling him is actually unthinkable given the weaknesses in some parts of our squad and our relatively high quality options in his position.

Not sure Wanyama is fully focused; for me his performance have dropped this season. He is capable of more than he is showing.

Yep, I understood your post and question. Wasn't digging you at all, just throwing in an early support for Vic. He has given some immense performances this season.

    Agree with this.
People have been saying he hasn't been as good without Morgan.
I would disagree, and say he has been as good but has been made to look bad, on occasions, by not having a regular partner.
He still makes those foraging runs to dispossess people, but now, if he doesn't and the ball gets played into the gap he has left, he gets the blame, when in reality, his partner should have covered him.
If anything, in some games he has tried to do too much, because he is now the only tackler we have, outside of the back four.
