Oh I had no idea, sorry to hear that. Is it serious? I've got a mate who has muscular dystrophy, it's a muscle wasting disease, he plays drums to keep his strength up. He's bloody good at it too.
Just visited the page and made a donation. A friend who I play football with lost his dad to cancer. We play a charity match twice a year between 2 teams to raise money. It started quite small but its growing now. We played the last match at Sutton Utd's ground and now it looks like the next one is going to be at Villa park. I wonder if you could do something like a not606 Mackems vs Mags charity match. Each player that plays our game has to raise money to play and then we do a BBQ raffle etc... after the game to raise more money as well as donation buckets etc... during the day.
We tried to organise a 5 a side/football match between Sunderland and Newcastle fans back in the 606 days, but it fell through.
I have a lot of time for Billy and like a lot of you was very shocked at his bereavement. Out of all the not606's on this board who know me, he constantly PM'd me to ask how Lollie was. The lad is a star amongst stars in my eyes and that's why I feel for him so much. 2 weeks today Dave, Lollie is at Wakefield hospital to meet the new team and hopefully a solution to her suffering. They start from a blank sheet of paper with what we hope is a different diversion from Fentaynl patches and Morphine to give the lass something more than an existence. Our thoughts are with you mate and as I always say, "be strong". My strength keeps me going each day and like me always think 'one day at a time'..
Cheers marra, I really hope the new guys can find her a solution to her problems. All the best to you both mate.
Keep me updated on how it go's as my memory is ****ing ****e. No problem going back years, it's yesterday I forgot. LOL.
