Joe Hart has dropped clangers, Petr Cech has dropped clangers, Iker Casillas has dropped clangers so Jakupovic is on good company.
I'm not. It was absolutely shocking. He was nowhere near near the ball, his judgement was shocking. BUT he made 1/2 great saves. I'm happy whatever Brucie does.
There is no doubt in my mind that Jako took a hit and was not fully responsive when the trainers attended him. There could have been a language problem. I am going to light the touchpaper with this remark but. Do Jacko and Koren ever speak on the pitch? When I typed in about the language problem, I wondered. Koren is Slovinian, Jako is Bosian Serb. Language is not much different, it's a bit like comparing UK to USA as far as I can recall.
Joe Hart drops more clangars than any other supposed top class international keeper around. It stuns me that people still seem to claim he is the best keeper in the world despite a major error being made on an almost weekly basis. I dont remember a time England was ever so poor off for keepers and I wonder if it's a reflection on the position not being seen as 'glamororous' enough by the yoof of today so they dont want to play there.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/video/2013/jan/11/peru-goalkeeper-double-save-video How about this for a fine example of composed goal keeping......... whoops.
did any of them waste the valuable time of god know how many doctors / nurses at the local hospital though by suffering from hurt pride ?
Slovenian, Bosnian, Croation all understand each other & basically speak the same language, however sometimes it's a sad case of today's world that they won't speak to each other due to differences with past history in their countries & unfortunately the worst thing IMO, religion, not saying that's the reason mind.
Yes, drop Jakupovic. All he's ever done for us is have a good game against Derby, a fantastic performance against Leicester, a composed performance against Leeds and a solid game at Blackpool. He needs to be dropped immediately for having a poor game against Wednesday.
I think this replay is a bit of a "get out of jail free card" for SB concerning Jakupovich. If the next game after Saturday had been a league game he really wouldn't have been happy risking him but this gives Jak a chance to redeem himself and gives SB an option to select him again on Saturday if he does ok tonight. Assuming that he hasn't managed to get another keeper in before the weekend. Unfortunately, Jak is like an awful lot of keepers and certainly a large number of foreign one's, who are often very good shot stoppers but as soon as the ball is up for grabs in the area they don't seem to have the stomach for it. This leads to them being very low on self confidence in relation to commanding the area and particular coping with any kind of aerial threat.
I bet every City fan who was asking for Jakupovic to start catching crosses, wishes he'd punched away that corner on Saturday!
