Thank God for that!.................... (I can talk. Why did I back that Carlton House when I ain't even a proper royalist. Oh well).
Good day for me, After an abysmal day yday made my money back and more on TB and memphis I changed my mind at the last min in the bookies went Memphis E/W instead of Native Khan I usually change my mind and wish I had stuck with my 1st thought!!
Unlucky Cats, winner next time for sure in the correct grade...more concerned about the schooling in public rides that abound, including the one your selection recieved...Whilst no-one wants to see a newcomer beaten like a carpet, some of the rides are ridiculous when one considers all should be ridden to maximise their finishing position as stated in the rules of racing. Even stranger to hear the duplicitous jorno's,like old bros head chappers, castigate any jock who fails to get a run in h'cap while at the same time gushing about about promising debuts under "tender handling" by first timers...I despair!! Rant over...back to the Faustino v...lol!
Nass.....He did quicken at Epsom, but he couldn't sustain the finishing kick to the line, hence he disnt stay, Pour Moi sustained his kick to the line, hence the fact he stayed the trip
I agree with Shergar on this, namely that Carlton House is not a 12 furlong horse, and I think we'll see him drop back in trip now. It's a bit of a moot point whether he really stayed the trip at Epsom or The Curragh, because he certainly wasn't good enough. There's one thing for sure- if Carlton House had been owned and trained by Jimmy Nobody, then Treasure Beach would have been a warm favourite yesterday. Something to do with rose-tinted glasses and the "emotive" in sport.
