Knighton Combe....Gives you a nice warm glow to see a f******g no hoper win...even worse when Micky Fitz starts blowing smoke up the trainers pipe...FFS!!..lol!
An observation about Windsor...unless the ground is soft, you have no mission unless drawn low to exploit the stands rail over any trip...
Oddy....Carlton House does have a turn of foot, we seen that in the Dante, the reason he couldnt use it today is because he doesn't stay 12fs, it doesnt matter how much speed a horse has, if there's nothing left in the tank turning in! He's a Street Cry colt, and Street Cry produces milers and occasionally 10f horses, but he doesn't produce 12f+ horses so running him in the Leger would be suicide based on breeding, he was beaten today by 2 Galileo colts and a Hurricane Run colt, both sires won top races at 12f. Carlton House could have been a guineas horse had he not been such a late foal, that's how much speed is in his pedigree
Doesn't stay? I think thats an impossible case to prove when he was staying on at a similar speed as the first three, he just didn't quicken rather than not stay.
Thank god for that!!...on a line through Treasure beach he had a big shout...great ride RM again..nice to see the old Stanera colours in third..she looks like a useful filly over farther
CH just not good enough, no excuses nowhere to hide. The form is in the book and Treasure Beach has it. But pleased my bet of the day came in at at 8-1.
Nass....Yet he quickened in the Dante over a shorter trip, coming from last to first against Seville, yet today over further there is no turn of foot, that to me suggests he doesn't stay. The extra 2 furlongs take the sting out of his finishing kick. His breeding suggests he's an unlikely stayer, and his track performances suggest he doesn't stay, what more do you want?
He quickened at Epsom, or am I just imagining that? He was just not good enough, and will prove the same over whatever trip.
Can't believe this betting at Uttox - the Pipe horse hosed up last week over fences off the same rating, yet everyone is punting the Tim Vaughan horse which is 8lbs out of the handicap. Very fishy.
Amazing how different a horse can be over hurdles to fences, front two in market both dog it over hurdles yet concentrate over fences
Diddley Dee Right, still in profit with Paddy Power overall so shutting down the account and giving it a rest for a while ...........
