Sounds like Walcott and Wilshere were both crap for England tonight. Oh well. Hope they both can dust themselves down and get ready for Sunderland when the proper football starts.

If Rosicky is injured that may mean we see Ozil start on the weekend rather than come on off the bench.

Sounds like Walcott is ok though which is good as if both Rosicky and Walcott where injured we would be really short on numbers!

England were their dire selves again and were lucky the ref didn't award a penalty against them. Walcott looked decent at times, his pace troubled the Ukrainian defence but his final effort was poor. Wilshere was having an on and off game but then again, the entire England midfield was ****e. Walker was especially getting roasted on the right and was very lucky to escape not getting carded. I stopped watching 15 minutes into the second half, it was putting me to sleep.

"Ingerland" are probably the most over hyped phenomenon in modern sport....blame squarely lying on the door of over saturated media coverage combined with a sense of entitlement from a significant section of the fans.

Wilshere was pretty quiet but so were all the attacking players. Walcott looked like he did when he first joined us, passing straight to the opposition every time he got in a dangerous position

Proof is how many English players are getting into the starting 11 of all the top Prem teams. Just looking at us, Wilshere is the most promising player in the England squad, but even he isn't guaranteed a starting birth with us. With everyone fit for Arsenal, he would struggle to start for us now and will only get in due to the Pod being injured and Cazorla being moved over to the left.

A couple of thoughts about England.

1.Why do we keep playing Wilshere in the No.10 role? This is not his natural position. For me he is a deep lying playmaker/box to box.
    2.Milner is ****ing awful.
3.Milner, Gerrard and Lampard all in the same midfield? Really? have we not learnt anything? One at most in the side. These guys all have their strengths but in terms of modern football they are dinosaurs. England need to move away from this long ball game and embrace the modern passing game.
    4.Wellbeck is under-rated.

The pundits want to add Carrick to that, would surely be the slowest, least dynamic midfield in world football..

Are you kidding me Carrick is the closest England have to a moden day passing game footballer. Even Wenger said Carrick could play for Barcelona. He should be Englands playmaker ala Xavi and Pirlo - criminally underrated footballer.

My front 6 when everyone if fit would be.

Couldn't agree with you more. These 3 in midfield and Wilshere is the one they single out for criticism!

    And Walcott.

What was crazy is that Lamps/Gerrard did'nt manage a single through ball that he could run on to.

Ukraines right back spent half the night in Englands half, with some decent passing that could soo easily have been exploited.
