I think you get a point if you get within a certain distance of the qualifying time and more points for closer. I could be winning if I'd remembered to predict China
Quali trophy is based on the sum of your points you have got for your pole time guesses. You get 1 point for being within 1% of the actual pole time; 2 points for being within 0.25%, and a bonus point for having the closest time on the whole of zdkf1.
