Coyle's been playing whilst injured and Longman getting forced off both happened before Liams post match comments. Connolly and Oscar were both out before then also. Might have been a bit of season end lethargy about the first half commitment on saturday but linking his comments to pre-existing injuries is a bit of a stretch.
Apart from Longman the other injuries were known about already, Baz's post might be suggesting there are more we didn't know of.
Will have to wait for his latest clickbaity article to find out. Suspect the core of the absentees will be those mentioned above that were already a doubt.
If I was an employer and had so many off sick due to on the job reasons I would be having a bloody good look at the reasons especially as they are getting paid good money.
Maybe we should ask the oppo to not tackle as hard? I mean it's not like injuries are an inevitable part of elite sport now are they? Were not the only club that's been hammered.
Yes I do get that. I’m looking at did they arrive carrying knocks, not match fit for the start of the season, rushed back to quick, is the training ground causing some of the injuries. I’ve been watching football 50 plus years so I’m well aware that there is tackling in a football match but cheers for the heads up.
How many teams we played recently with similar issues? Every few years most clubs seem to have a crisis. Remember one under Bruce being particularly savage. Obvs the reasons will be varied depending on the player but we have doctors ffs so it's not like there'll be a broad brushed silver bullet that they won't have explored if they felt it was a simple fix.
Would've made for an interesting looking play off zone if no other teams had been 'hammered'...24 teams in the top six.
I do think a bit of luck in keeping key players fit is usually the difference between championship top 6 and mid table. Most clubs have 4-5 out at any one time just we seem to have had all our 'preferred' attacking and creative players affected rather than it being more spread around the squad.
