It's definitely a concern. He's not played all that many games over the last few seasons due to injury
Hopefully not a broken finger as recovery time is around 2 months. All professional sports people need to learn to manage pain if it’s just heavy bruising the soft lad.
Hull City are facing up to the prospect of being without three first-team players for the big season opener against Bristol City on Saturday afternoon. Nathan Baxter, Alfie Jones and Ryan Longman all missed the disappointing 3-0 defeat at Peterborough United on Saturday, so too Mallik Wilks, just as they did on Wednesday night for the loss to Leicester City at the MKM Stadium. Baxter was at London Road with the traveling party but had two fingers strapped while Jones and Longman remained sidelined with injuries and it remains touch and go whether or not they'll be fit to face the Robins. Head coach Shota Arveladze, who was visibly annoyed with his side's tepid display in their final outing of pre-season, will be eager to have the likes of Jones and Longman back available, particularly given their weaknesses at both ends in their absence. City continue to be without Josh Emmanuel and James Scott with the Scotsman continuing to recover from shin splints.
Hopefully this is genuine and they weren't left out of recent friendlies for other reasons - i.e. we want to sell them or they are on the naughty step. Both can do a good job for us this season IMO
