I know he was free, but he was injury prone at Palermo and at APOEL. Since LD came in, most of the players we've signed have either suffered a major injury or are known to be injury prone, which reduces their value. It works if the players can stay fit, but it usually doesn't work out that way and we're left with half fit players.
Was he? Other than his current injury, I can't find any mention of another, other than a foot injury kept kept him out for a few games in 2016.
He only made two appearances in the season Palermo spent in Serie B, sure I read somewhere that he picked up an injury that season, I'll have a gander.

Stephen Kingsley - Hamstring injury, return date unknown. Kevin Stewart - Out until February, hairline fracture of his metatarsal. Norbert Balogh - Suffered a setback, return delayed until early January. Jon Toral - Had knee surgery 8th Nov, out until February. Angus MacDonald - Out dealing with a bigger issue than an injury.
Phil Buckingham just tweeted that Magennis has had a set back with his recovery from his torn hamstring and will not return to action anytime soon.
Kev Stewart has posted an Instagram video of him throwing his protective boot in the bin at the training ground, though it seems it will still be several weeks before he's available for first team duty.
