Things are looking up for #hcafc. Reece Burke, Jordy de Wijs, Jon Toral and Evandro all took part in full training today. Eric Lichaj still not back in with the main group.

Burnsy - Nigel Adkins @hullcity on Evandro to @HumbersideSport "he'll be fine for the next game. I had it in my mind 45 minutes, don't get tempted, I don't want to lose him." #hcafc

At the moment, if he said this, that or the other, I'd say you decide... and this coming from an initial non believer...

Burnsy - Frazier Campbell a doubt for Bolton mtach for @hullcity . "When's he going to be back, hopefully not too long, we'll have to wait and see, it's a tight one for the Bolton game." Nigel Adkins to @HumbersideSport #hcafc

The injury information from the club is so vague, it's been pretty much impossible to keep this thread up to date.

There was no mention of Mazuch being injured, but if he wasn't, where the hell was he?

From the press conference ahead of Villa...

    Adkins on the injury front

The only two that I’m not going to select this weekend is Weir and MacDonald. Campbell has trained really well this week.

Apparently he cracked a joke about Darnbourgh in the brew room & is now banned from all Events at the KCom, home games & away games.

He’s good to train in Cottingham though.

Mazuch was warming up/doing stretching exercises with the subs at half-time at Villa. So presumably he was in the travelling squad. Baffling why he wasn’t on the bench (as surely he would have been a better sub for De Wijs than Mackenzie - who for me has looked better when played at full back).

More likely whilst in the brew room he dropped a cup on his toe, jerked his leg quickly and damaged his calf muscle; out for 24 hours, but could be a little longer!

I'd be surprised if MacDonald ever plays again. After a second DVT, he will presumably be put on blood thinners for life (I just have been and it's v depressing). And the modern blood thinners in the UK such as apixaban don't have approved antidotes yet. Therefore I would have thought all contact sports would have a high risk of a bleed. He could be on warfarin of course (rat poison) but that makes you feel awful. Actually apixaban's not much better. I feel like I've aged 10 years overnight. Tried to play golf today and only managed five holes ...

I've been on Apixaban for 2 and a half years now and I haven't noticed anything like that at all. Must be lucky, I guess.

Yup I've been on Apixaban (Eliquis) for 9 months now (second PE incident so on it for life) and not noticed a thing other than easier bruising and sometimes gum bleeding when brushing teeth, but people do tolerate it differently like any drug. I was on warfarin a few years ago for 7 months (add in the 7 months on the wagon as well and it was miserable) and didn't enjoy it one bit, including the annoying regular blood tests which you don't need with the modern anticoagulants.

Been there as well, but I drank less rather than stopping altogether. When I was diagnosed with my second DVT I was given the choice of warfarin or apixaban and my inner alcoholic chose for me.

Makes you wonder if this problem with Angus has any relationship to the health problems he was reported to have before he joined us?
